We've reached the seventh constellation. If your birth date reduces to a 7, your birth cards are the Chariot and the Tower. But even if you're not a 7, stay with me, these constellations are energies that move through all of our lives. This one is about two things that look like opposites but turn out to be partners: achievement and reinvention, building and being willing to have what you built broken open. Greer calls the principle Mastery through Change. I think of it, in my own words, as tearing down and rebuilding. On this episode: The Chariot constellation and its principle, and why I reframe "Mastery through Change" as "tearing down and rebuilding"The Chariot card: the driven, self-directed self, built through willpower and effort, and the two sphinxes pulling in opposite directions that it has to hold togetherThe Tower, reframed: not catastrophe, but the lightning bolt of truth that breaks open a rigid structure of belief or identity you've outgrownThe Tower versus Death: an expected ending you surrender to, versus a sudden one that happens to youThe interdependence at the heart of this constellation, the breaking is what frees the building to continue, and the building is what gives the breaking something to break openFyodor Dostoevsky (a 7!) and his mock execution, his years in a Siberian prison camp, and how that shattering rebuilt him into the writer who gave us Crime and Punishment and The Brothers KaramazovA personal story about someone I love who lives out this constellation's work of letting old structures fall and rebuilding something truerA reflection practice built around the Chariot's question and the Tower's question Upcoming Events — Tarot Readings in Madison!
