    Summer is under way and we hope you're remembering to take deep breaths as our children are running around the home. We had to take a short break but we hope you enjoyed our previous episodes that we RE-introduced to ya’ll.  We've been excited to share this episode because we're doing our first-ever giveaway. We’re giving away a book and it’s not just any book, it’s one of the banned books in the state of Florida: Amanda Gorman’s “The Hill We Climb”. Amanda made history as the youngest Poet Laureate to recite her poem at President Joe Biden’s Inauguration.  We go into why restricting access to a book about hope and unity is absurd and why we chose it as our first-ever giveaway on our show. Brandy shares how doing a book report about Malcolm X was inspiring and gives a shout our to her 8th grade teacher, Ms. Brinsko for not banning not only a controversial book but a controversial  public figure.     Brian has been anticipating this episode. He shares his amazing marriage proposal that almost didn’t happen in Palawan, Philippines. It was an adventure and there were miracles all around but he couldn’t have pulled it off without his LA community. The story is about what’s possible when you don’t give up and BELIEVE. Speaking of believing, they just watched the season or series, who knows, finale of Ted Lasso and talk about the positivity that exudes from the hit show.  Don’t worry no spoilers. But first off the episode starts by acknowledging this year’s Memorial Day at the end of May and the intense workout called ’The Murph that Brandy did in honor of our fallen soldiers.
