Zaynab Talha

Sheikha Dr. Zaynab Talha is a world-renowned Quran reciter originally from Algeria, which is her native country. Zaynab Talha completed her initial memorization of the Quran and received her first ijazah in Tajwid in Algeria before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Usul Al-Fiqh from an Algerian Islamic university. To pursue advanced academic goals, Zaynab Talha moved to Malaysia, where she earned a Master’s degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia and a PhD in Quranic Studies from the University of Malaya. Zaynab Talha is historically significant as the first Arab woman to record the entire Quran in its entirety. Currently, Zaynab Talha serves as a leading educator and scholar, frequently conducting professional workshops and seminars at the Al-Mujadilah Center and Mosque in Qatar.
