    Episode #3: What to Do When I Fail?

    Episode 3 deviates from the Leadership from Scratch framework and instead considers a topic we all wrestle with at some point: how to deal with failure. We first put together the recipe for certain failure -- things like not measuring progress, stopping after one bad experience, being inconsistent, and trying to avoid frustration. And then (of course) we lay out actionable tools that can be applied when faced with failure to use it to your advantage. By implementing these tools you will learn why you should SEEK failure, for without failure we will all surely fail -- is that clear as mud? As always there are some fun nuggets in here from Kobe Bryant, Jordan Peterson, Alex Hormozi, Chris Williamson, Andrew Huberman, Alia Crum, and Carol Dweck. Hope this helps!

    In Episode 2 we dig into how to begin to discovering your unique leadership qualities through the lens of personal mastery. Topics include: what you should aim at (even how that can help with depression and anxiety), how to figure how what you value most, and where to start when creating a personal WHY statement. The goal of this episode is to give you tools to create a map and a plan so that you can get where YOU want to go and figure out what problems you feel INTERESTED in solving. As you begin to articulate an authentic version of who you are, people who believe the same things you believe will naturally follow you.     The inaugural episode of the Leadership from Scratch podcast. The goal of the series is to give you a framework of organized skills and science-based tools to deliberately practice becoming a better leader. Today we start with a leadership definition, as well as discuss the problem of modern leadership, what leadership is not, and the three levels of infinite game leadership. We learn from chimpanzees, Michael Jordan, Steve Kerr, Simon Sinek, Jordan Peterson, the mythology of Jesus Christ, and styrofoam cups.
