Overall, I enjoy the podcast, agree with most of the opinions of Rav & the guests, and have interests in all of these subjects. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of wasted time repeating the same information & venting about flaws in the system. I agree with most of this, and am happy there is a focus on it, but I gain nothing from hearing it a million times. For example, in the episode, myth of exercise with Andy Galpin, Rav started by listing a bunch of interesting topics he hoped to explore. If the episode was focused more on learning about those topics, with cited studies or anecdotal evidence that points to conclusions, things I can take away and utilize in my life, and less venting about flaws in the system, I would have gotten more out of it. This seems to happen in many episodes. Lots of wasted time discussing things I’ve heard over and over. Overall, Rav, I appreciate how you openly explore issues, without needing to jump to a solution too quickly. I appreciate your vulnerability, humility, honesty, intelligence, and when you interrupt a speaker, in order to share an important counterpoint. For example, in the episode on CBT & Trauma, when the psychologist shared opinions as objective truths, i.e. therapy should not last for more than a certain period of time, affirmations don’t actually do anything, you shared how being in therapy for long periods of time gave you space to reach new, important realizations, and how & why affirmations helped you through anxiety. Great counterpoints that deepen the conversation & are helpful takeaways for listeners. My advice, don’t repeat the same conversations a million people on the internet are having. There’s too many podcasts out there and too little time. Focus more on keeping the conversation to what listeners can pick up on and utilize in their lives.
