DE ZERBI UNDER PRESSURE... Spurs Still Haven't Scored A Goal | Anfield Next | An Echo of Glory

Four league games. Three hundred and sixty minutes of football. Not one goal. No Spurs side has ever started a season like this. Not in 144 years. And on Saturday night, after another nil-nil at home, the stadium let them know about it. We're picking through all of it. The 0-0 with Everton, where we had the ball for two thirds of the game and still lost the xG. The boos at full time. Roberto De Zerbi going straight for Mathys Tel at the whistle and explaining afterwards exactly why. The press conference where he told everyone what he walked into last season and how honest he intends to be about it. Then there's the squad. Savio and Marmoush both started and both drew a blank. Solanke still looks short of sharpness. Mudryk is out for weeks with an ankle. Kulusevski is still not training. Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert are unavailable. Richarlison is stuck outside the 25-man Premier League list after the Vasco da Gama move collapsed, which means he cannot help us in the league until January. Over three hundred million quid spent this summer and we cannot put the ball in the net. There is some good in there. Two clean sheets on the bounce. Maddison is back. Bergvall has signed a new deal after all that summer noise. De Zerbi keeps pointing at the first thirty minutes against Forest and Everton and saying that is the team he is building. The question is whether anyone at N17 has the patience to wait for minute thirty-one. And then Anfield. Carabao Cup third round, Tuesday night, live on ITV. De Zerbi has hinted at heavy rotation, which finally opens the door for Richarlison because cup football is the one place he is still eligible. Andy Robertson goes back to Anfield for the first time since leaving in the summer. It is the last place you would choose to go looking for your first goal of the season, and it might be exactly the place we find it. Then Aston Villa at home on Saturday. They are 19th. We are 17th. It is the final game before a three-week international break, so whatever happens on Saturday is what we all sit with until October. Where we are, where we're going, and whether this is a slow build or the same old story. Get involved in the comments. MUDRYK TO SPURS? DEADLINE DAY LIVE | Tosin Agreed, Danso Out, Richarlison Latest

Deadline day. The window shuts at 11pm and Spurs are not done yet. We're live from now until the clock runs out, and we're taking your calls all the way through. Tosin Adarabioyo looks set to come in from Chelsea after Kevin Danso told De Zerbi he wanted out. Mykhailo Mudryk is expected to follow him across London on loan. Pape Matar Sarr is expected at Juventus. Kota Takai, Mikey Moore and Souza have already gone out on loan today. And then there's Richarlison... So that's the question. Spurs have spent north of £320m this summer, brought in Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Savio, Marmoush, Robertson, Senesi, van Hecke and Dubravka... and sit bottom of the Premier League with no points and no goals. Is tonight about fixing the squad, or about fixing something that money can't fix? Tell us what you make of the business, what you make of De Zerbi, and what you actually need to see at Forest on Saturday. Remember, deals can still be announced after 11pm if the deal sheet went in on time, so stay with us. We'll be reacting to everything as it drops. Subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss the live shows and the phone-ins. Drop your deadline day verdict in the chat and we'll get to as many as we can. Brentford 3-0 Spurs: Three Hot Takes, One Argument | Collectively COYS

Brentford 3-0. Opening day. New manager, north of £200m spent this summer, and we were second best in every single area of that pitch. 3.96 xG to 0.47. Nobody is talking us into a good week.   So here is how this works. Every Tuesday, Jonny from An Echo of Glory, Ben from We Are Tottenham TV and Billie from Last Word on Spurs each bring one hot take about Tottenham. One each. None of them has heard the other two before the cameras roll. Then they argue about it.   This week all three have come out of the Brentford defeat, and none of them are the take you think they are going to be. One of them goes after a decision most fans have already accepted without questioning it. One of them says the damage was done weeks before a ball was kicked. And one of them is going to start a row in the comments, which is exactly the point.   Everything else is on the table too. The two goals Kinsky will want back. Archie Gray captaining the side, the youngest to do it since Steve Perryman. Tonali skying one from 18 yards. Savinho agreed at £85m, Marmoush in the post, and whether any of it fixes what we watched on Saturday.   Charlton in the cup, then Newcastle at home. It cannot look like that again.   Tell us who won the argument in the comments. And bring your own hot take, the best ones get read out next week.   Collectively COYS is the weekly Spurs show from An Echo of Glory, Last Word on Spurs and We Are Tottenham TV. Three channels, three takes, one panel, no agenda beyond arguing about our football club.   Subscribe to all three: An Echo of Glory: [LINK] Last Word on Spurs: [LINK] We Are Tottenham TV: [LINK]   COYS.   #Spurs #THFC #HotTakes #Tottenham #Brentford #DeZerbi #ArchieGray #PremierLeague #CollectivelyCOYS #COYS 👍 Enjoying the show?Follow or Subscribe wherever you listen so you never miss an episode. BRENTFORD 3-0 SPURS | "We Are Not A Team...YET" An Echo of Glory LIVE!

Well. That was a way to start a season. Brentford 3-0 Spurs. Lewis-Potter after twelve minutes, Janelt on thirty three, Kayode four minutes into the second half and if Thiago puts his penalty on target it is four. We did not win a duel, we did not win a second ball, and by the time Bentancur came on at half time the game had already gone. Over £200m spent on six players and we turned up at the Gtech looking like eleven blokes who met in the tunnel. Four new faces in the back four. Tonali and Bergvall in a midfield that never got going. Maddison and Mateus Fernandes watching the first half from the bench. De Zerbi came out afterwards and said it himself, we are not a team yet. He is not wrong. The question is how long he gets to fix it. Mikey Moore was the only one who came out of it with any credit. Two efforts, Kelleher saved both, and he was the only Spurs player who looked like he actually fancied it. So tonight we are going through all of it. Was this a fitness problem, a coaching problem or a squad that simply does not know each other yet? Should Maddison have started? Was hooking Bergvall at half time the right call or was it hanging a twenty year old out to dry? And with Savinho in London for a medical and Marmoush talks moving, do another two attackers actually fix what we saw yesterday, or are we papering over something much more basic? Newcastle at home on Saturday. First game back at N17. That already feels enormous. Subscribe and hit the bell so you never miss a live show. We go live after every game. PRE-SEASON PREVIEW | Savinho Latest, Team News, Brentford | LIVE

We're back. The team are live for the first show since the summer break, and there is a genuinely absurd amount to get through. Six in, ten out. Sandro Tonali arrived as a club record signing, Mateus Fernandes came in from West Ham, and Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka all walked through the door. Cristian Romero went the other way to Atletico Madrid. That is not a tidy-up, that is a full squad overhaul, and it is fair to ask whether De Zerbi has actually been backed the way he wanted. Because there is still no forward. Savinho is the name that will not go away, Cody Gakpo has been talked about all week, and the window shuts on 1 September. We will get into where all of that actually stands tonight, and what happens if neither of them lands.    Then there is Saturday. Brentford away at the Gtech, 5.30pm, first game of 26/27. Van de Ven and Udogie have not kicked a ball in pre-season, Solanke is a doubt, Kudus and Kulusevski are still working their way back, and Maddison has had one run out. So who actually starts? Get involved. Phone lines are open all show and we want to hear where you think this season is heading after two seventeenth place finishes. Drop your predicted XI in the chat, tell us what you make of the summer business, and give us your points prediction for the season. Like, subscribe and hit the bell so you never miss a live one. England v Argentina... Spurs On BOTH Sides! | World Cup Semi Final

We're LIVE at 12pm on the eve of England v Argentina, a World Cup semi final with Spurs written all over it. Djed Spence was superb in the win over Norway and now finds Cristian Romero and Marcos Senesi standing directly between England and a World Cup final. It doesn't get more personal than that. We're taking your calls on all of it. Can England actually beat the champions? How good was Spence in that quarter final? And be honest... would you take a Romero masterclass on Wednesday night if it meant England going out? Plus the transfer latest with big money already spent this summer. The Rashford talk won't go away, Kroupi links are building up front, there are wingers being mentioned everywhere, and reported interest in Spence, Vicario and others raises the other question... who should go? What do Spurs still need, and who would you sell? Get involved in the comments, like the video and subscribe for Spurs content all the way through the transfer window. SPURS GO BIG... £200m Spent - EMERGENCY TRANSFER UPDATE SHOW!

Well... it's actually happening. After two seasons of scrapping around 17th and being told the money would never come, Spurs have gone and spent north of £200m in one window. Never again, they said. Turns out they meant it. Today we're running through the lot. Sandro Tonali is in London for his medical as we speak, a club-record £100m deal from Newcastle, £92.5m up front with £7.5m in add-ons, and a six-year contract waiting for him. That's a proper statement signing and De Zerbi is the reason he picked us. Then there's Mateus Fernandes, done and announced this morning for £85m from West Ham. Pair him with Tonali at the base of midfield and suddenly we've got a spine. We'll get into whether that partnership actually works. Plus everything else that's landed... Jan Paul van Hecke in for £52m, Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson both on frees, and Martin Dubravka arriving to back up Kinsky with Vicario looking like he's on his way out. And the exits. Cristian Romero wants out, Atletico and Barcelona circling, and Luka Vuskovic off to Brighton. We'll talk about what's still to come as well, because I don't think De Zerbi is finished. Let me know in the comments... are you buzzing or are you nervous? Because I'm a bit of both. Like, subscribe and hit the bell for all our transfer coverage this summer.
