Kave and I play Panther’s Trespass

I think I said I’d link the music I made for this, but I’ve now figured out that linking the midi files directly won’t necessarily sound right (they’re rendered in a specific way in the game browser and the balance has been very off when I played them anywhere else). I have plans to make mp3s and link them, but I haven’t done that yet and wanted to post this now. I might come back later and add them here, or maybe I’ll make a new post. 00:00 Introduction to the Game and Its Development 03:02 Exploring the Music and Its Evolution 05:53 Character and Lore Insights 05:53 Technical Difficulties and Game Introduction 08:07 Exploring Lighthaven and Panther’s Role 09:50 Game Mechanics and Interactions 12:43 Puzzle Design and Player Experience 15:46 Character Development and Animation 18:44 Functional Analysis and Game Logic 21:09 Prediction Markets and Game Goals 24:12 Whiteboard Feature and Player Strategy 27:06 The Psychology of Cats and Their Preferences 29:03 Exploring Everyday Items in Puzzle Games 31:43 The Importance of Environment in Gameplay 33:48 Interactivity and Game Design Insights 35:13 The Role of Movement in Engaging Pets 39:04 Understanding Cat Safety and Plant Toxicity 40:39 Humor and Anecdotes in Cat Ownership 41:19 Game Mechanics and User Experience 48:20 Heating and Comfort in Gameplay 49:57 Exploring Time Timers and Their Uses 51:30 The Role of Music in Podcasting 54:39 Sound Quality and MIDI Files 56:29 Behavioral Analysis and Animal Training 58:28 Understanding Applied Behavioral Analysis 01:00:33 The Evolution of Lighting Technology 01:02:29 Puzzle Design and Calibration 01:04:29 Interacting with Pets in Puzzle Scenarios 01:11:04 Exploring Game Mechanics and Interactions 01:14:00 Puzzle Solving and Item Interactions 01:18:09 Hints and Guidance in Gameplay 01:21:09 Understanding Game Logic and Progression 01:27:34 Creative Problem Solving and Game Design 01:33:49 Final Thoughts and Reflections on Gameplay 01:33:55 Revisiting the Puzzle Challenge 01:36:45 Exploring Game Mechanics and Design 01:39:41 The Role of AI in Puzzle Solving 01:42:49 Error Messages and Player Experience 01:45:46 Environmental Context and Gameplay 01:48:42 The Science of Puzzle Design 01:51:44 Reflections on Game Aesthetics 01:56:25 Exploring Game Mechanics and Player Choices 01:57:56 Puzzle Design and Player Intentions 02:04:00 Satisfying Puzzle Experiences 02:11:45 Trust in Game Mechanics and Puzzle Fairness 02:14:59 Game Night Experiences and Social Dynamics 02:19:35 Exploring Textures and Sensations 02:23:12 Creative Problem Solving in Game Design 02:29:47 Navigating Choices and Consequences 02:34:33 Reflections on Game Mechanics and Player Experience 02:41:41 Exploring Problem-Solving Strategies 02:44:43 Puzzle Design Insights 02:48:23 Maintenance and Upkeep in Game Design 02:53:13 Game Mechanics and Player Interaction 02:58:15 Reflections on Puzzle Difficulty and Design This is a public episode.
