    EPISODE 2.6 Beginnings: Hospitality through the college years with Elizabeth Clayton

    Today I'm sharing a conversation with my friend Liz, and we chat about what hospitality has looked like for her over the last few years of transitioning out of her parents home into student ministry and then to the UK for studies. Liz is a kindred spirit with a love for people and hosting (and candles!), and it was fun to hear how her childhood home inspired and encouraged her to prioritize hosting right from the start of living on her own.  We talk lots of practical details of what being hospitable has looked like for her with housemates, classmates, and while living in a new country.  I hope you enjoy!     Today I'm talking with Renee, a wife and mom to 5 little ones 7 and under at the time of this recording.  We discuss how isolating the early years of motherhood can be, and how we can find ways to be a friend + gain a friend during those years!     Today I'm talking with Maryanne, a wife and mom to 4 kids, most of whom are teenagers.  We discuss how to make our homes a warm and compelling place where our children are eager to come home, and somewhere they feel free to bring their own friends.  We also touch on how as moms we can gladly send our young adult children out into the world instead of clinging to them when it's time to let go. It was an encouraging conversation for me, even though I'm still a few years away from that season, and I think it will be an encouragement to you as well!
