    E43: BECOME AWARE OF MY PRESENCE

    In this episode I share about becoming more aware of God’s Presence. God is always with us, but it takes an intentionality to shift our awareness to this truth. God invites us to seek Him in everything—to create rhythms of stillness and habits of inviting Him into our everyday decisions. There is not a separation between the practical and spiritual aspects of our lives. Everything is integrated and God is always present. The more you intentionally seek an awareness of God’s Presence, the easier it will become and it will change the way you live your life.     E42: RECEIVE MY LOVE

    In this episode I share an excerpt about joy and God’s love. We often look for love from other people but only God’s love is complete and sufficient for all we need. As we spend time intentionally shifting our awareness to God and receiving His love, it starts to heal and transform us into the original, pure version of ourselves. God is always with us, but sometimes we need to shift our perspective through joy and thanksgiving to recognize His love that is always available. And as we do this, it changes us. This is why God says to receive His love first for ourselves. As we receive, we can then share more freely and fully with the world around us.     In this episode I have a special guest, Anna Chao, join me as we talk about hearing God through two-way journaling. Anna recently started two-way journaling as a way to tune in to God’s voice. She shares personal stories and a fresh perspective about how hearing from God can transform your life. We discuss some practical approaches and lessons we’ve learned in our own two-way journaling time with God, such as the importance of letting the conversation flow and not getting caught up in the exact word. Anna also emphasizes the importance of finding a quiet space. With so many “voices” always vying for our attention, it takes intentionality to make space for quiet in our lives.     E40: I AM THE LIFE

    In this episode I share an excerpt where God is reminding us to seek Him first. So often we desire the things of the world first and our lives get so full that we don’t leave room enough for God. But God desires connection to us, and He desires to give us wonderful gifts that are beyond what the world can give—things like peace, hope, wisdom, and love. Our relationship with God often becomes an afterthought, but He is reminding us that He is the life. There is mystery that is beyond our human understanding because we make choices every day and are impacted (often negatively) by the decisions of others.     E38: YOUR SOURCE OF JOY

    In this episode I share an excerpt about the joy that God offers to us. This joy is not contingent upon circumstances and can coexist with sadness, grief or frustration. It cannot be taken away, but it does require us to trust God. Like faith, trust needs to be proven out as we take risks and have experiences of God with us. One of the keys of growing in our trust and, therefore, joy, is to recognize, acknowledge and be grateful for the ways God has been there for you. That doesn't mean everything goes the way that we want it to, but how has God helped you through a challenging circumstance such as through comfort and encouragement?     E37: LEAVE ROOM FOR MY SPIRIT

    In this episode I share an excerpt where God is reminding me to release some of my overplanning tendencies and instead leave room for His Spirit to flow freely. I had asked God for guidance in preparing for a particular meeting and in response He shared wisdom intended to transform my way of life. Many of us can struggle with getting caught up in the details, often spending a lot of time and effort on things that aren’t necessary. God invites us instead to make space for Him and trust that He is there with us in every moment. While it is good to make plans, it is better to hold those plans loosely and allow God to make changes according to His greater plan and purpose. One of the examples I shared in that prior episode involved a healing session with a friend where God used physical movements to communicate a reminder of Jesus on the cross. That friend, Megan Coffin, shares vulnerably from her own experience of that time in her life. Megan opens up about her struggles with physical ailments and internal guilt and shame, and how God led her to a deeper understanding of Christ's love.
