We couldn’t find a therapist, so we started a podcast.  After 7 years of dating we nearly came to a breaking point and decided it was time to try something new, to talk about our feelings and record them.     I've Been Abstinent for 9 YEARS | Dr. Nigel Marcellus

    This week we’re Hanging Out with Dr. Nigel Marcellus, who has a PhD in communication and studied Black love, relationships and how we experience love. Nigel has shares how and why he has never been in an official relationship and that he's been abstinent for 9 years. So obvs, we talk about sex, abstinence and modern dating from a man’s perspective. We get into the pressure men feel around sex, masculinity, emotional safety, vulnerability and intimacy. We also get into self-worth, losing yourself trying to be what someone else wants, what men are looking for in relationships and why knowing what a healthy relationship looks like doesn’t necessarily make dating any easier. Aja and Grant talk to Nigel about his work, his experiences with dating and what it’s like to study love while still figuring out relationships for yourself.     350 Reasons to NEVER have kids ft Girl With The List (Abigail Porter)

    This is a BIG ONE YALL. Most people have heard about Abigail Porter, aka The Girl With The List, the internets most iconic and influential child free person with over almost 350 reasons to never have children. If you've seen her, you know its her mission to inform women on the risks and dangers of pregnancy told from the perspectives of moms around the world who have dealt with life altering complications of complete loss of self identity.  In this episode Aja asks Abigail all about her mormon upbringing, leaving the church at 16, how her career has impacted her relationship with her family and of course, Abigails choice to never have children. Should I be a mom? or Should I have a kid? Will I regret having kids? These are some of the most difficult questions that women struggle with so of course we talk about the realities of pregnancy, postpartum and the expectation that women are supposed to enjoy being moms, even if they don't.
