Some friendships last a lifetime. Others become chapters inour story, leaving behind memories, lessons, and sometimes unexpected grief. In today's Daily Draw, we explore the pain of friendshipsthat fade, the sting of rejection, and the disappointment of discovering thatsome relationships were conditional. We also examine how childhood experiences, family attitudes,bullying, pride, and social favoritism can influence the way we approachrelationships. Drawing from Proverbs 18:24, James 2:1–8, and the example ofJesus, we discover that every relationship deserves to stand upon its ownmerit. We don't have to inherit someone else's disappointments or allowyesterday's rejection to determine tomorrow's friendships. I'll also share a personal experience of losing friendshipsduring an already painful season of life—and what it taught me about movingforward. We also revisit a childhood Girl Scout song about silver andgold friendships—and what it teaches us about honoring old friendships whileremaining open to new ones. You can be the difference maker.
