The Heart Problem | Phil Stevenson

What if following all the rules isn't the same as following Jesus? In Matthew 5:17–26, Jesus challenges what people thought they understood about righteousness, faith, and what it really means to follow God. He reveals that genuine faith isn't measured simply by religious activity, but by a heart transformed by God's grace. In this message, Righteousness From the Inside, we explore the difference between practicing religion and living in a relationship with Jesus. From dealing with anger and resentment to pursuing forgiveness and reconciliation, Jesus calls us to a faith that goes far beyond Sunday morning. In this message, we'll discover: Why Jesus came to fulfill the Law, not abolish it. The difference between religious performance and genuine transformation. How God's grace changes the way we respond to anger and conflict. Why reconciliation matters so deeply to Jesus. What it looks like to put our faith into action every day. The big idea: Authentic righteousness isn't about appearing holy on the outside. It's about allowing God's grace to transform us from the inside out. Scripture: Matthew 5:17–26 Additional passages: James 2:14–18, Romans 3:21–24, Ephesians 4:26, Romans 12:18 Join us at Life Community Church in Roseville, California, as we learn what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life. Why Can We Trust God | Justin LaHiff

Can you really trust God when life doesn't go the way you planned? When prayers seem unanswered, the future feels uncertain, and life takes an unexpected turn, it's easy to wonder: Is God still good? In this powerful message from Psalm 23:6, Pastor Justin unpacks one of the most encouraging truths in Scripture: God's goodness and unfailing love don't just follow us—they pursue us. Through the life of David, a personal story of faith in the middle of fear, and the incredible promise of Jesus, we discover why trusting God isn't about knowing what will happen next. It's about knowing who God is. In this message, you'll discover: Why David trusted God even after seasons of disappointment, fear, and suffering. The powerful meaning behind “surely” and “pursue” in Psalm 23:6. How to recognize God's faithfulness, even in life's darkest valleys. Why God's goodness doesn't depend on our circumstances. How remembering God's faithfulness yesterday helps us trust Him with tomorrow. The big takeaway: God's goodness is certain, even when life isn't. Whatever season you're walking through, you don't have to face it alone. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who walks with us through every valley and invites us into His presence forever. 📖 Scripture: Psalm 23:1–6, with a focus on verse 6. 💬 Join the conversation: What's one moment in your life when you can look back and recognize God's faithfulness? You Have to Walk Through | Andrew De La Torre

What if the valley you're trying to escape is actually the path to the blessing God has prepared for you? In “You Have to Walk Through,” we discover a powerful truth from Psalm 23:5: Sometimes you have to walk through the valley to experience the overflow God has waiting for you. We all want the green pastures, peaceful waters, and overflowing blessings. But what happens when life takes us through seasons of anxiety, uncertainty, hardship, or pain? Psalm 23 reminds us that God doesn't always remove our enemies or eliminate our struggles. Instead, He prepares a table right in the middle of them. His presence offers peace, His grace gives us belonging, and His goodness sustains us through every valley. In this powerful message from Life Community Church, discover: God Prepares the Table: Your circumstances don't determine God's presence or provision. More Than a Feast: God's anointing brings peace, honor, and the assurance that you belong. The Secret of the Overflowing Cup: God's grace is abundant, and His invitation is more than temporary. The Valley Before the Overflow: Sometimes the journey through difficulty prepares your heart for what God has ahead. Here's the reminder: You aren't meant to stay in the valley. You're walking THROUGH it. Don't give up. Don't stop walking. The Shepherd is with you, even in the darkest seasons. 📖 Scripture: Psalm 23:5 (NLT) ⛪ Life Community Church | Roseville, California 🌐 Learn more: https://lifecconline.com 🔔 Subscribe for more encouraging sermons, biblical teaching, and messages to help you grow in faith. 👍 If this message encouraged you, like this video and share it with someone walking through a difficult season. 💬 LET'S TALK: What has God been teaching you in your valley? When Your Soul Loses Its Way | Will Derryberry

What if your soul doesn’t just need rest—what if it needs direction? In Psalm 23:3, David says, “He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths…” What if those aren’t two separate promises? What if one of the ways the Shepherd restores our souls is by reorienting our lives around Him? We were created to receive our identity from God, but it’s easy to look to achievement, career, relationships, reputation, ministry, or success to tell us who we are. And the soul becomes exhausted when we ask something other than God to give us our identity. In this message from Psalm 23, we discover how the Good Shepherd restores more than our peace—He restores our direction, identity, priorities, and relationship with Him. You’ll discover: • Why exhaustion can sometimes be a sign of disorientation • How our identity is received from God, not achieved • Why “being before doing” changes the way we live • How the Shepherd brings our priorities back into alignment • Why Jesus doesn’t wait for lost sheep to find their own way home • How surrendering to the Shepherd leads us back to who God created us to be You may think you simply need rest. Maybe what your soul is really longing for is reorientation. The Shepherd is here. Let Him lead you. Every step with the Shepherd is a step toward home.
