S4E6 - What Does the Bible Say About Money? | 20+ Scriptures on Finances & Biblical Stewardship

What does the Bible actually say about money, wealth, debt, saving, and financial stewardship? Money touches nearly every part of our lives—and it can easily become a source of stress, fear, or even an idol. But Scripture gives us a different way to think about our finances. In this episode of A More Beautiful Life Collective, we're looking at 20+ Scriptures about money and finances to build a biblical framework for how Christians should think about wealth. We'll talk about: Why money and possessions can never truly satisfy us• The danger of allowing wealth to become our source of securityWhat the Bible says about debt, hard work, saving, and generosityWhy wise living often leads to better financial stewardshipHow to redefine what it actually means to be “wealthy” Why the ultimate purpose of our resources is bigger than simply accumulating more Biblical stewardship isn't about becoming as wealthy as possible—and it isn't about believing that money itself is bad. It's about putting money in its proper place. God should be our primary love, our trust should be in Him rather than our wealth, and the resources He gives us should ultimately be used to bless others and glorify Him. S4E5 - What Do Jerusalem, Athens & Rome Have to Do With Your Faith?

What do the Bible, Greek mythology, and Latin have to do with one another—and why should Christians care? As we continue The Faith We Inherit, we're widening the lens beyond the beliefs we've inherited to consider the culture and intellectual tradition that helped shape us. For centuries, Western Christianity has drawn from three great cities: Jerusalem, Athens, and Rome. Jerusalem teaches us faith and obedience. Athens teaches us to ask questions, pursue wisdom, and consider what it means to live virtuously. Rome teaches us order, duty, and the importance of institutions. But each comes with a ditch. We can become so suspicious of human wisdom that we reject intellectual inquiry. We can become so enamored with questions that we never submit ourselves to truth. Or we can elevate traditions and institutions until preserving them becomes more important than faithfulness to God. In this episode, we're talking about why Christians should study the Old Testament, why there is value in reading pagan Greek myths, why Latin became a cornerstone of classical education, and what all three can teach us about faithfully receiving the inheritance we've been given. Because we aren't called to blindly preserve the past—or arrogantly throw it away. We're called to become faithful heirs. S4E4 - You Don't Have to Agree With Them to Learn From Them: Why You Should Study Church History

What can we learn from the Christians who came before us—even when we don’t agree with everything they believed? Church history doesn’t have to be our authority to be our inheritance. In this episode of A More Beautiful Life Collective, we’re talking about why Christians should know the history of their faith, understand the tradition they’re standing in, and read Christians from across 2,000 years of church history. We’ll explore the middle ground between idolizing Christian tradition and ignoring it altogether. We’ll talk about why I can learn from Augustine without agreeing with Augustine on everything, why biographies and memoirs can show us what faithfulness looks like in real life, and why we should pass the stories of the Christians who came before us on to our children. Their faithfulness can strengthen us. Their failures can warn us. Their questions can sharpen ours. And their stories remind us that we aren’t the first Christians to wrestle with what it means to faithfully follow Jesus. Scripture is our authority. History is our inheritance. And we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. In this episode: Why Christians should study church history How to approach Christian tradition with discernment Why you should know your own church tradition The value of reading Christians you disagree with Christian biographies and memoirs worth reading How to introduce church history to your children What the “great cloud of witnesses” can teach us about faithfulness today How do you approach church history and the Christians who came before us? S4E3 - Bible Alone? Can We Really Just Follow the Bible?

What does it actually mean to say we believe in “Bible Alone”? If Scripture is our final authority, where do tradition, church history, teachers, creeds, and our own interpretation fit? In this episode of A More Beautiful Life Collective, we explore Sola Scriptura—the idea that Scripture is the final, infallible authority for Christian faith and practice—and why that doesn't mean “just me and my Bible.” We’ll look at the difference between Sola Scriptura and Solo Scriptura, consider the role of tradition and teachers, and ask how we can honor the Christians who came before us without giving their interpretations the same authority as Scripture. Because none of us reads the Bible from nowhere. The question is whether we are willing to examine the faith we’ve inherited in light of Scripture—and discern what we should keep, reform, or release. S4E2 - What If Questioning Your Faith Isn’t a Bad Thing?

What do you do when you genuinely don’t know what to believe anymore? Maybe something you were taught doesn’t make sense. Maybe you’ve encountered questions you were never encouraged to ask. Or maybe you’re realizing that some of your beliefs were inherited before they were ever examined. But does having questions mean you need to deconstruct your faith? I don’t think so. In this episode of Faith We Inherit, we talk about what it looks like to bring our questions toward God rather than away from Him. Questions can be uncomfortable, but they can also become an invitation—to open Scripture, seek truth, examine what we’ve inherited, and draw closer to the God we’re trying to know. You don’t have to have all the answers to keep pursuing God. Sometimes, the questions are where the deeper faith begins.
