Meanwhile Spanish duo Barca and Atleti bounced back from adversity to claim vital wins with 10 man Atleti overturning Leverkusen's 1-0 lead to beat Alonso's men 2-1 at home while Blaugrana came back from 4-2 down to win 5-4 in an incredible night at the expense of their hosts Benfica on a night when 3 red cards were issued. Arsenal and Liverpool cemented their spot in the Top 8 after comfortable wins at home with the Milan clubs scrapping 1-0 away wins to boost their chances for the Round of 16. There was goals and goals everywhere as Chelsea and Arsenal both handed out statement wins against fellow London opposition Westham and Crystal Palace to warm up for their Top of The Table London Derby clash at Stamford Bridge next weekend with respective 5-0 wins. Meanwhile the Red Devils put their noisy neighbours City to the Sword at the Etihad winning 4-2 courtesy of some Tooney magic with the Lionesses international bagging her first derby goals in a thrilling hatrick. Spurs scrapped a narrow win past Foxes at home, Daly and Sarri scored in either half as Toffees shared the spoils with Villa while a late Carabali own goal sunk Seagulls hearts in Merseyside. Meanwhile Arsenal looked a side renewed under Interim manager Renee Slegers and they thrashed Surprise Top 4 candidates Brighton 5-0 at the Emirates to set the tempo for their midweek UWCL clash with Juventus. The Hammers got their 1st win thanks to Vivianne Asseyi while Palace were set back by a late Hayashi strike to share the spoils in South London.
