Episode 147 - A Conversation With Lance Mosher About True and Lasting Hope

Send us a text One of the joys of hosting this podcast channel is that I meet incredible people with great insights into the concept of hope.  Some of my guests have given information from a secular perspective; others more spiritual in nature, and even more with a combination of applications.  That is important since hope permeates through all aspects of our life. In this episode I’m speaking with Lance Mosher who has had his hope challenged and discovered the source of true and lasting hope.  Now he has dedicated his life to helping others discover, sustain, or regain hope. Lance shares an interesting insight into what hope is.  He describes it as Excited, Eager, and Expectation based on Evidence.  He references three key passages related to hope:  Titus 1:1-3; 1 Peter 1:3-5; and Romans 8:20-25.  I encourage you to read these passages and look at how true and lasting hope is described. Lance is an author, speaker, and curriculum developer.  You can find more information about him and his work by going to his website at:  https://mosherministries.com.  He also can be found on YouTube by searching for Topical Bible Studies.   I encourage you to look at these and learn more about true and lasting hope. Episode 146 - The Relationship of Hope and Forgiveness

Send us a text I enjoy finding connections or links between different concepts.  I especially like to do so in scripture.  I will be reviewing a passage, perhaps in God's old law and then recall or discover a connection to it in the teachings of Jesus or the apostles.  This helps prove the inspiration of scripture and keeps it alive in our world today. In this episode I look at such a connection as I explore the relationship between forgiveness and hope.  Perhaps you need to forgive someone.  Perhaps someone needs to forgive you.  Either way, as we learn to forgive, we also grow in our hope. Episode 142 - A Conversation With Myron Bruce ~ Singing With the Spirit

Send us a text It’s always exciting to speak with someone who has found their place in life and are using it to help others.  That’s the idea behind this podcast.  How can we use what we’ve been given by God to help others as they discover, sustain, or regain hope. My guest in this episode is Myron Bruce.  Myron uses his knowledge and talents to help us grow in hope through song.  We’ll discuss how important it is for our hope, spiritual growth, and support for one another.  Even if you are not someone who has a great singing voice, you will enjoy what Myron has to say.  It may even cause you to bust out in song. I encourage you to go to Myron's web site and learn more about him.  The website is:  https://singingwiththespirit.com.   You can contact him directly by email at:  swts2011@gmail.com Myron is available to travel to congregations or groups to guide them as they strengthen and deepen their worship to our Lord through song.  It isn't a singing workshop.  It is a growing in spirit and truth through our songs workshop. Myron has written two excellent books about our use of singing in our worship to God and our edification of each other.   One is titled, "This is My Song".  The other is:  "The Splendor of Worship".  They are available on Amazon or through his web site. Episode 140 - A Conversation with Beth Johnson ~ Manager Ridout's Prattville Chapel

Send us a text Most of us don’t think about the need for funeral services until there is a death of someone.  We also may not see a connection between a funeral service and hope.  It is counter-intuitive to put death and hope together.  Yet those who serve during the end of life activities, including funeral service directors do impact hope in survivors.  They help form a foundation upon which others move on into the future of their life. I invite you to listen to the conversation I have with my guest, Beth Johnson, a licensed funeral director as we discuss this critical service at a time when hope is challenged.
