    Flat Tires and Flat Faith

Send us Fan Mail One of the realities of life is that every journey encounters unexpected interruptions. Sometimes it's a traffic jam. Sometimes it's bad weather. Sometimes it's something much simpler, yet just as frustrating—a flat tire. Anyone who has traveled very far has probably experienced one. You're making good progress when suddenly the vehicle begins pulling to one side. The ride changes. Before long you're parked on the shoulder examining a tire that's lost its air. Flat tires are part of traveling. Spiritually speaking, something similar can happen in our walk with Christ. But those moments don't mean we should give up on hope.  In this episode I look at some ways to help us regain our faith, and regain our hope. The Quiet Heroes

Send us Fan Mail When we think about a cancer center or other such organizatons, we often remember the physicians and nurses who guide us through treatment. Their skill, compassion, and dedication deserve our deepest gratitude. But healing is rarely the work of just a few people.  In this heartfelt we look behind the scenes to meet the quiet servants whose acts of kindness often go unnoticed. From the smiling receptionist who welcomes anxious patients, to the laboratory technicians, pharmacists, schedulers, volunteers, and the dedicated staff who quietly keep everything clean and running smoothly, each person plays an important role in helping bring hope and healing. Join us as we celebrate the quiet heroes among us and discover that one of the greatest ways to share hope is simply to notice the people others too often overlook. Because healing often arrives through many hands...and no one walks alone. A Conversation With Tommie Washington, Associate Professor for Digital Media, Faulkner University

Send us Fan Mail Today I have the privilege of welcoming a very special guest, Tommie Washington. Many of you may remember my recent conversation with his wife, Leila Washington. If you haven't heard her inspiring story, I encourage you to visit our podcast page and listen to that episode as well.  Professionally, Tommie is a two-time Emmy Award-winning designer and animator whose creative work has reached millions of viewers through ESPN. His career has been marked by creativity, excellence, and innovation.  Currently, Tommie serves as an Associate Professor at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, where he is developing and teaching a program of study in digital media. He brings a wealth of professional experience into the classroom, preparing the next generation of digital media professionals.  But today, we're going beyond careers and accomplishments. We're going to talk about something that touches every family at some point in life: hope, caregiving, and faithfully walking beside someone we love through difficult circumstances.  Tommie brings a unique perspective, not only as an accomplished professional, but as a husband who walked with Leila through her cancer journey. His story reminds us that some of life's greatest achievements never receive a trophy. They are found in quiet acts of love, faithfulness, and hope.  If today's conversation sparks your interest in digital media or continuing education, I encourage you to learn more about Faulkner University's Digital Media Certificate program by visiting Faulkner's website.  https://www.faulkner.edu/dm-certificate/ Support the show If today’s episode has resonated with you or helped you in any way, and you’d like to support the show so we can continue to bring you new and free content, I’ve set up an account on Buy Me a Coffee. Living in Grace

Send us Fan Mail Do you ever wonder if your ongoing struggles mean you've somehow failed God? Have you prayed about the same weakness again and again, only to find yourself discouraged when the battle continues? In this episode of Our Journey to Hope, we explore the biblical difference between struggling with sin and continuing in sin. Drawing from Romans 6, Romans 3, 1 John 1, and Psalm 37, you'll discover that the Christian life is not defined by perfection but by faithfully continuing to walk with Christ. If you've ever wondered whether God still has hope for you after repeated failures, this episode offers encouragement rooted in Scripture and the unchanging faithfulness of God. Our greatest hope is found in Jesus Christ, and every step taken toward Him is a step toward hope. Live Strong With Leila Washington

Send us Fan Mail Today, I have the honor of introducing you to a new friend and sister in Christ, Leila Washington. Leila and I share something that neither of us would have chosen, but now use to help others. We are both cancer survivors. We also share something much greater: a deep faith that reminds us hope is always stronger than fear. Today, Leila serves with the LiveStrong program through the Montgomery YMCA in Montgomery, Alabama.  This program is about helping others regain strength, improve their health, and rediscover hope after cancer. Her story is one of perseverance, faith, and a heart for encouraging others who are walking a similar path.   I think that like me, you'll find her journey to hope inspiring and encouraging.
