Episode 153 - A Conversation With Jessica Prichard

Send a text Everyone has a story to share and that is worth listening to.  For most, the trials they experienced in early life certainly impact the kind of person they mature into.  Tragically for some, it causes them to experience ongoing pain in adult life and clouds their view of the future. Not so with my guest today.  Jessica experienced tragic events and ongoing challenges throughout her early life and early development, she overcame them to grow into a remarkable young lady with a clear view of the future.  That view includes helping others with their challenges. Send a text The question of what is a Christian is one asked by many.  And unfortunately many misunderstand what it means to be a Christian. In this episode I offer from God's word what it actually means to be a Christian by looking at the word itself and the characteristics of a Christian.  I conclude with answering the question how do I become a Christian, This would be a great episode to share with someone you know who is challenged in their life and seeking to know God's will. Episode 147 - A Conversation With Lance Mosher About True and Lasting Hope

Send a text One of the joys of hosting this podcast channel is that I meet incredible people with great insights into the concept of hope.  Some of my guests have given information from a secular perspective; others more spiritual in nature, and even more with a combination of applications.  That is important since hope permeates through all aspects of our life. In this episode I’m speaking with Lance Mosher who has had his hope challenged and discovered the source of true and lasting hope.  Now he has dedicated his life to helping others discover, sustain, or regain hope. Lance shares an interesting insight into what hope is.  He describes it as Excited, Eager, and Expectation based on Evidence.  He references three key passages related to hope:  Titus 1:1-3; 1 Peter 1:3-5; and Romans 8:20-25.  I encourage you to read these passages and look at how true and lasting hope is described. Lance is an author, speaker, and curriculum developer.  You can find more information about him and his work by going to his website at:  https://mosherministries.com.  He also can be found on YouTube by searching for Topical Bible Studies.   I encourage you to look at these and learn more about true and lasting hope. Episode 146 - The Relationship of Hope and Forgiveness

Send a text I enjoy finding connections or links between different concepts.  I especially like to do so in scripture.  I will be reviewing a passage, perhaps in God's old law and then recall or discover a connection to it in the teachings of Jesus or the apostles.  This helps prove the inspiration of scripture and keeps it alive in our world today. In this episode I look at such a connection as I explore the relationship between forgiveness and hope.  Perhaps you need to forgive someone.  Perhaps someone needs to forgive you.  Either way, as we learn to forgive, we also grow in our hope.
