The Dark Moon & Ancestral Healing: Rituals, Remembrance, and the Lunar Void

In this episode of SOMAmagical: The Podcast, I guide you into the quiet, potent space of the Dark Moon, a phase of the lunation that I have come to deeply revere as a time for ancestral connection, remembrance, and inner listening. I speak about the magic of this often-overlooked phase, where the veil feels thinnest and the body becomes a vessel for ancestral wisdom, emotion, and unseen connection. I share reflections from my own practice, along with excerpts from my book ELIXIR: A Journey into Ancestral Alchemology, exploring how the Dark Moon invites us into stillness, release, and the sacred pause before renewal. This episode is an invitation to slow down, to sit with what is unseen, and to reconnect with the threads of lineage that live within and around you. It is a remembering of the wisdom held in the shadows, and the quiet power of honoring what came before. ✨ You’ll hear me reflect on:・Why the Dark Moon is a powerful time for ancestral connection・The symbolism of the “void” and the space between endings and beginnings・How this phase supports grief, release, and emotional clearing・Working with both ancestral wounds and ancestral gifts・Simple ritual practices to honor and connect with your lineage・The full lunar cycle as an alchemical process for transformation I also share a few gentle practices you can explore during the Dark Moon, and offer a special listener-only discount for my book if you feel called to go deeper into this work. The alchemy of dance, and the birth of Essendance. A reflection.

In this episode of SOMAmagical: The Podcast, I share a deeply personal reflection on my lifelong relationship with dance, performance art, and embodiment, and how movement has shaped my path through ancestry, artistry, and motherhood. I speak about beginning ballet at a young age, moving through years of performance art and circus sideshow work, and how dance has always been the language through which I understand myself and the world. I also share honestly about the period of disconnection that came with becoming a mother - and the slow, alchemical return to the body that followed. This episode is a reflection on how movement becomes medicine, how the body holds ancestral memory, and how dance can awaken a kind of body magic that is both deeply personal and deeply collective. I officially introduce Essendance - The Path of Alchemical Embodiment, and announce my upcoming dance alchemy workshop.  ✨ You’ll hear me reflect on: ・How dance has evolved through different phases of my life ・The impact of motherhood on embodiment and creative expression ・Movement as a tool for healing and remembrance ・Dance as a bridge to ancestry and lineage ・Why embodiment is an ongoing, living practice Link to workshop: https://gisellarose.com/events/essendance-intro Stay Magical, until next time! 🌹 Gisella Rose ✨All My Links ✧ Shop my book: https://gisellarose.com/store ✧ For eBook / Amazon: https://books2read.com/u/bQzWX7 ✧ Work with me: https://gisellarose.com ✧ Add me on Instagram: @_gisellarose © 2026 SOMAmagical | Gisella Rose

Maria Fenn: The magical embodied dance of life

In this episode of SOMAmagical: The Podcast, I had the pleasure of sharing a deeply resonant conversation with Maria Fenn, Energy Worker, and a dear friend and SistAR ⭐️  Together we explored the delicious landscape of energy work, the magic of the body, honoring the dance between darkness and light, and the living intelligence of energy that moves through all things. We spoke about the importance of embodiment as the foundation for healing, the secret language of the body, and how daily practices can become potent rituals of remembrance. Maria shared her journey with energy work and the many ways we can find unity within duality - learning that the poison is often the antidote, and that our discomfort can be a sacred teacher. This conversation is an invitation to return to your essence, to listen to your body, and to trust that your unique rhythm is the path. Everything in life is energy, and when we move with awareness, we begin to create our own magic. ✨ You’ll hear us reflect on: • The power of intuitive daily practice • The dance of light and shadow in healing • The body as a vessel for energy and transformation • How balance and flow reveal the truth of the heart • Embracing all that you are - unity within duality It’s a liberating, heart-centered journey through the unseen currents of energy and embodiment. I hope you feel the medicine of this conversation as deeply as we did.  ✨ Maria’s Links  🔮 Connect with Maria Fenn – Energy Worker:  https://mariafenn.co.uk 🔮 Connect with Maria on Instagram:  @maria_fenn_just_be 🔮 Where we met 💖 https://kundaliniuniversity.com ✨All My Links ✧ Shop my book: gisellarose.com/shop ✧ For eBook / Amazon: books2read.com/u/bQzWX7 ✧ Work with me: gisellarose.com ✧ Add me on Instagram: @_gisellarose © 2025 SOMAmagical | Gisella Rose
