    38yo Female: COVID exposure - Is That Why Her Eye Is So Red and Goopy?

    After a COVID exposure, she noticed her left eye began to itch. The next morning she was disoriented on waking, and her inner eye and inside of eyelids were very red, itchy, and discharging white and yellow pus - eeeew!     41yo Female: COVID Cough, Confusion and ”Oversensitive like Chamomilla”

    After her weekend at a wedding with attendees from all around the world, this woman came home feeling ill. Her at home COVID test was positive. She began to feel the strong heat of a fever. As a study group member familiar with acute therapeutics, she chose Belladonna, which relieved the fever. The next day she noticed a spasmodic cough, confusion and a level of upset about her symptoms that seemed out of proportion for what was actually happening.   In this case example, Karen discusses the size and breadth of rubrics, translation of upset into language of the repertory, and aspects of the carbon remedies.     34yo Female: COVID Exposure, Uvula Pain and Menstrual Cramps

    She reports an exposure to two people who have postive COVID tests; she now has symptoms though home test is negative. She describes having a sore throat "in the hangy-down thing" at the back of her mouth, along with swollen glands. In this case example, Karen discusses methods of inquiry: clients often do not know they type of data we need, and may not be aware of their symptoms. This can make our repertory work bland or difficult. In this case, following the initial repertorization, Karen shares the additional questions and rubrics used to clarify the final remedy selection.     32yo Female: Long COVID, Wetting the Bed and So Embarrassed

    She got COVID, positive test and typical symptoms, then recovered after about 10 days. She felt well in most ways, but her urinary track was seriously altered!  This is a documented Long COVID scenario which now, 8 months after the initial COVID illness, is disrupting her life. The frequent urination and feeble stream are annoying, but the occasional complete emptying of her bladder at night while asleep is really awful.     29yo Male: Long COVID and Off the Rails Mean Drunk (with a cough)

    Where COVID meets Tubercular miasm, there seems to be double trouble. He had COVID, with full array of achey, fever, crummy and coughing. Now 18 months later, he says the cough is ruining his life.  Well, actually, the cough isn't trashing his life, but the effects of it are! He can't sleep (cough is terrible at night when he lays down) and he is hitting the scotch-and-soda hard and often. He gets drunk and goes into mean rages; his wife is about to leave him.  He has already been given plenty of likely remedies by the time of this consult.     42yo Male: COVID Injection Abscess (Many Good Remedies Given Already!)

    A few days after his COVID vaccination, his upper arm began to hurt around the site of the injection. Redness and local swelling was followed by pustules. Now he is feverish, sweaty and restless.     57yo Female: Post Covid Chilly, Chillier, Chilliest (unless she gets up to walk around... hint... hint...)

    Her first round with COVID laid her out for 3 weeks, followed by a full recovery. The second round was quicker, but NBWS! Now 3 months later, she gets freezing cold after eating a big meal - unless she can get up and pace around! This case offers clear symptoms that are easy for the client to describe, but harder for us to find in the repertory - including directionality of chill on the back. Up? Down? Up and down?
