I may not be a red neck but…

How great is this? Most often discussions of theology are terribly high minded (or at least thinks itself to be) or Biblical literalists who hate everyone and everything outside their narrow view. This podcast is most truly in alignment with Jesus of Nazareth’s direct action of reaching out to and elevating - without judgmental shame - those at the margins. The world would be a more broadly elevated with more theology like this.

Politically I’m far more conservative than the hosts and I honestly started listening out of amusement at the title. As a GA redneck living in MN, I absolutely love this podcast. THIS is the culture I grew up in! No matter your politics or ethnicity, poor rednecks know no one will help us and so we have to take care of our own. And “our own” isn’t based on ideology or race, but on our neighbors struggling to get by. I’m a fan! I’d appreciate more focus on what we have in common than on Marxism/Socialism, but I’m going to keep listening to regardless. Redneck social justice needs a voice and this podcast is speaking up for rednecks everywhere!
