    Unexpected Truths - There Are No Outsiders in the Church - August 16, 2026

    Ephesians 2:13-22 We’re good at deciding who belongs and who doesn’t—even in church. But Paul reveals an unexpected truth: every Christian began as an outsider. Sin separated all of us from God, but Jesus brought us near through his blood. In Christ, strangers become family, outsiders become citizens, and sinners become part of God’s dwelling place. And if Jesus has torn down the walls, we have no business building them back up.

    1 Corinthians 3:5-11 The world expects growth to come through strong personalities, persuasive leaders, and effective strategies. But the church grows differently. Pastors and Christians can plant the seed of God’s Word and water it faithfully, but only God can create faith and make it grow.That truth is both humbling and freeing. We do not need to make anyone believe, carry the guilt when someone resists the gospel, or compete for credit when faith bears fruit. Our calling is to keep sharing Christ crucified and risen, trusting God to work through his powerful Word in his time and in his way.
