Athena's Puzzle: Unraveling the Curry Case

Athena Curry was born on November 2nd, of 1990 in the the city of Portland, Oregon. She was raised by her parents Cicero and Rosalind Curry and was the youngest of six children. In 2008, Athena would move with her older sister, Aisha, and finish off her senior year of High School in Atlanta, Georgia. In her senior year, Athena would commit to the goal of becoming a Pediatrician one day. After high school, she would enroll at the University of Pheonix in pursuit of her dreams. In 2009 Athena would become intimately involved with a man named Yusef and the pair would end up having a beautiful baby boy named King in January of 2010. During this year, although Athena's primary residence was with her sister, she would also frequently have extended stays at her baby father's home. From the outside looking in everything seemed to be lining up for Athena at this time. She was pursuing her dreams, she just gave birth to her handsome and healthy baby boy, and although he was by no means perfect, she was in a relationship with the father of her child. Sadly everything would be cut short, just one later. On May 31st of 2011, Athena's sister, Aisha, would receive a phone call that immediately made her sick to her stomach. On the other line was Athena's boyfriend Yusef asking when he could expect Athena to pick up their son. Aisha would inform Yusef that she had not seen or heard from Athena since the day she left to go and stay with him. Yusef would then confess that he and Athena had gotten into an argument on May 27th when she discovered text messages on his phone from another women. He claims that Athena was so mad she stormed out of the home at 3am taking absolutely nothing with her. He described her as wearing nothing but a tank top and shorts when she left the home. Because either of them had a car, it is presumed that Athena left on foot. If we cant call it strange, we at the very least can call it uncaring of Yusef to not call anyone concerning Athena's whereabouts or well being until 4 days after she stormed out of his house in a rage. A lot of people including Athena's family believe that her boyfriend Yusef is trying to cover something up and is a major person of suspicion in Athena's disappearance. Not only did he not alert anyone about her walking off into the darkness until four days later, but Yusef also had a history of being physically abusive towards Athena. The family also strongly believes that Athena would never abandon her son no matter what was going on. Many also believe that if Yusef is responsible for her disappearance, then because he had no car, others must've been involved to help him in make her vanish. Other believe Athena tried to hitch hike and got picked up by the wrong individual, while some believe she was simply met with foul play on that dark morning. The most far fetched theory is that Athena chose to disappear, but this is heavily refuted by those who actually knew Athena. One thing is for sure; till this day no one truly knows what happened to Athena Curry. Athena Curry is a African American Female standing at approximately 5 feet and 8 inches tall. At the time of her disappearance she was 20 years old and weighed approximately 150 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and several tattoos including her sons name on her left arm and the word rocky on her right wrist. She also has a musical note on the left side of her neck. If you or anyone you know have any information regarding the whereabouts or last known activity of Athena Curry, I encourage you to call Sargent Herbert with the Atlanta Police Department at (404) 274 – 2233 or email him at cherbert@atlantaga.gov. You can also contact the Atlanta Crime Stoppers with information regarding this case.
