Episode 163: CAPTURE (2026) Turned Home Videos Into a Death Sentence | Live Reaction & FMK Rating

This week on Fright Flick FMK, we’re watching and reacting to Capture — a supernatural horror movie about an orphan who inherits her parents’ long-abandoned house and discovers something waiting inside that should have stayed buried. Abby finds an old camcorder along with a collection of videotapes containing pieces of her family’s past. Sounds nostalgic. It isn’t. As she starts digging through the footage, disturbing family secrets begin coming to light — along with the horrifying truth about the camera itself. Apparently some home movies are better left unwatched. Capture comes from director Bruce Wemple, an indie filmmaker with a long run of horror and sci-fi movies including The Retreat, First Contact, Island Escape, The Hangman, and The North Witch. And there is a cool old-school angle behind this one: the filmmakers tracked down an actual 1995 Sony MiniDV camcorder for the production, leaning into the creepy home-video aesthetic and some early-2000s J-horror influence. That sounds like exactly our kind of bad decision. Fright Flick FMK is a horror movie watch-along and reaction show for fans who like their scary movies with attitude, laughs, real reactions, and zero fake polish. We kick back, get elevated, pour a drink, press play, and talk through the chaos in real time. For Capture, we’re digging into the cursed-camera concept, the family mystery, the supernatural scares, the atmosphere, the old-school video aesthetic, and whether this movie actually captures our attention or deserves to have the tape permanently erased. WHERE TO WATCH: As of this upload, Capture is streaming FREE with ads on Tubi in the U.S. It is also available to rent or buy digitally through platforms including Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. Streaming availability can change, so check your preferred service before pressing play. At the end, we rate it with The Only Rating System That Matters: Marry It means the movie is a keeper — the kind of horror flick you can grow old with and keep coming back to. F@#k It means it’s a good time when the mood hits — maybe not forever material, but definitely worth another late-night visit. Kill It means the movie gave us a good time, we might tell our friends about it, but we are ghosting it in the morning. So pull up a chair, pour whatever you’re pouring, light whatever you’re lighting, and join the Fright Flick Family. Sip. Smoke. Scream. Rate. Episode 162: PASSENGER (2026) Turned Van Life Into a Demonic Nightmare | Live Reaction & FMK Rating

This week on Fright Flick FMK, we’re watching and reacting to Passenger — a supernatural road-trip horror movie where one couple’s van-life adventure goes completely off the rails after they stop at the scene of a gruesome highway accident. Because apparently being a good Samaritan in a horror movie comes with a demonic attachment fee. After witnessing the crash, the couple realizes they did not leave the scene alone. A demonic presence known as the Passenger has hitched a ride, and their road trip turns into a nightmare they cannot outrun. So yeah… next time, maybe keep driving. Passenger comes from director André Øvredal, the filmmaker behind Trollhunter, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and The Last Voyage of the Demeter. This time, he brings the horror to the open road with van-life paranoia, highway dread, jump scares, supernatural stalking, and that lovely feeling that something is sitting in the back seat even when nobody is supposed to be there. Fright Flick FMK is a horror movie watch-along and reaction show for fans who like their scary movies with attitude, laughs, real reactions, and zero fake polish. We kick back, get elevated, pour a drink, press play, and talk through the chaos in real time. For Passenger, we’re digging into the road-trip setup, the demonic hitchhiker, the scares, the performances, the van-life nightmare fuel, and whether this movie actually takes us for a ride or leaves us stranded on the side of the road. WHERE TO WATCH: As of this upload, Passenger is streaming on Paramount+. It is also available to rent or buy digitally through platforms including Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, Fandango At Home, and JustWatch TV. Availability can change, so check your preferred streaming app before pressing play. Sip. Smoke. Scream. Rate.
