2 Corinthians 5:19-20KJV To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were beseeching you by us: we pray you on Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God When Jesus looks down at Christians, He doesn’t see them as lawyers, scientist, doctors, politicians, engineers, enterpreneurs etc. This is not how heaven sees the Christian. As far as God is concerned, all Christians are ambassadors of the Gospel. Thinking any differently doesn’t change this truth or fact. You may deceive yourself thinking any other but you will collide with the truth oneday. I am not sounding off or trying to lay down the law. This is the truth, this is the fact. The question is, will you be fortunate to find out this truth when there is still time? Some years back, I was talking to a lady about her destiny in life but she responded, I am an accountant . Am I not fulfilling my God given destiny? I am contributing my quota to this world. As far as she was concerned, this is the destiny and work that God gave her to do on earth. I felt very sad for this woman. She has being going to church for years but no one taught her the mystery of the christian destiny. No! God’s destiny for you the Christian is not to be an accountant, lawyer or doctor. Don’t be deceived. Are only Christians lawyers and accountants? Did you see only Christians working in that hospital? Or when you sat in that university class, you saw only Christians? So what quota is that atheist doctor contributing to the world? Does God bless His children with careers and opportunities in life? Emphatically yes! Jesus said that your Father in heaven will also give you those things that the gentiles need and require to be happy in this world. Things you need and require to be happy in this world are not the same as the purpose for being on earth. “ (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you....Matthew 6:32-33KJV” God knows and understand that you need and require the things that the gentiles need . This is why when you saw the people of this world living in houses, the Christian was also given an opportunity to make money so to buy a house. This is why when you saw the atheist cashing his pay cheque to buy a car, the christian was also offered a job to afford him the same. Your Father knows that the things that the world need and require, you also do but Jesus helps you to understand that for you the Christian what should drive you in life is God’s Kingdom and His righteousness. Your destiny on earth is tied to His kingdom and righteousness, not the things that the gentiles require. This is why when Christians measure themselves by money and professions and will not do the main work for being on earth, God becomes angry. You are not a success to God just because you have a PhD, a good career and money. You are a success if you are propagating the Gospel to the unbelievers you see. “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write: ‘These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth. Because thou sayest, “I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing,” and knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable, and poor and blind and naked,....Revelation 3:14-17KJV” It is wise to measure yourself by heaven’s standards and not how society may see you. For the world, you are a success because you have a PhD, money, cars and buildings. This will not change because this what the gentiles seek after and hence their measurement of success will always be according to these standards. Jesus doesn’t see it that way and when he returns or the silver cord breaks for man’s spirit to leave him, He is going to ask you just ask you one question what I sent. you to do in the world, did you do it? Did you preach the Gospel to the unbelievers of this world? Did you help save the lost souls? You invest in buying cars and building houses, how many times have you sponsored the Gospel? Even as simple as sharing these devotionals with other people on your whatsapps and facebook pages, how many times have you done so? But you daily share all kinds of materials and photos with them. He says, “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
