After Hours [AH] - Building the Youth Community with Emma Fillion

Emma returned to Cape Cod as a caregiver and decided to stay to build up the youth community through After Hours [AH] her brand new organization.  This community organization for young adults is built around the idea that people should grow together, not alone.  In this episode of the Cape and Islands Podcast we sit down at the Old Colony Tap in Provincetown to hear her story.  FULL VIDEO HERE What a fantastic foundation she is building for current and future generations of young adults. You can find out more about After Hours [AH] on Instagram by searching @afterhours_ah or you could email info@afterhours-ah.com and checking out her website afterhours-ah.com Also highlighted in the episode, here is the link to Sk8 Cape cod https://www.sk8capecod.com/ To the audience, as you have surely noticed I am approaching the podcast in new ways in 2026, taking a bit more risk and doing the interviews on site and making companion videos. So thank you so much for bearing with me on the audio quality as on-site interviews are much more difficult to control! Inside IFAW Animal Rescue: Marine Mammal Rescue Division

In this interview I had the pleasure of speaking with Dani, Emily and Michaela from the Marine Mammal Rescue Division of the International Fund for Animal Welfare otherwise known as IFAW. It was a true pleasure to sit down with the team and discuss all of the great work they do every day, along with some of the challenges they face in an ever changing physical and political environment.   The interview that you're hearing now is just some of the total interview that was completed in which we did a full video tour of the entire facility, which was incredible! If you'd like to see the full video interview CLICK HERE  IFAW Hotline: 508-743-9548 Here are some details from the MMR website:  "Embracing the highest tenets of animal welfare and robust science for more than 27 years, we have evolved into a world-recognised leader in stranding response. Based on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, we see more frequent mass strandings of dolphins here than anywhere else in the world. These events are not only a unique opportunity to rescue and provide cutting-edge veterinary care to these individual animals, but also drive constant innovation and groundbreaking research that is shared with collaborators around the world." Thank you so much to Dani, Emily, Michaela and the whole Marine Mammals Rescue Division for your time and showcasing your incredible facility and discussing the important work you do for our community and local wildlife! Midsummer Dreamers at Cape Rep Theater with Kirsten Peacock & Nick Nudler

In this episode i have the pleasure of speaking with two great friends, Kirsten Peacock and Nick Nudler, about writing their new play Midsummer DREAMers an adaptation and reinterpretation of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".  This exciting new play will be running at Cape Rep Theater from June 18th through July 13th! Here is the LINK to buy tickets! The cape is very lucky to have Nick & Kirsten back this summer performing at Cape Rep, they're two of the most creative people I've ever met, and it is very special that they come to cape each year to perform and spread their infectious positive energy!  Midsummer DREAMers is not the first play that they have written together, but you'll have to listen to the episode to hear about all the great things that they have accomplished. They are two of the fittest people I know, both physically and mentally, and their action on stage is truly something to behold.  Thank you so much Kirsten & Nick for coming on the show, I can't wait to see this new play, I am sure it will be exhilarating! And thank you all, so much, for listening!
