S4 Ep #109 - Matrescence: The Motherhood Identity Shift No One Warns You About with Chelsea Todd

In this episode, I’m joined by Chelsea Todd, a mother, coach, facilitator, writer and matrescence educator for a conversation about matrescence, the huge and often unspoken transition that happens when a woman becomes a mother. We talk about why motherhood can change so much more than your day-to-day life. Your identity can shift. Your relationships can change. Things from your own childhood can come back to the surface. You can love being a mum and still miss parts of who you were before. Chelsea shares what matrescence actually is, why so many women find themselves thinking “I don’t know who I am anymore,” and how things like mum rage, overwhelm and feeling disconnected from yourself can sometimes be telling you there’s more going on underneath. We also talk about reparenting, unmet needs, asking for support and learning how to make space for the woman you’re becoming alongside being Mum. Chelsea shares her own experience of motherhood and the path that led her into this work, and I share some of my own experiences along the way too. It’s a really honest conversation about a part of motherhood that I don’t think we talk about enough. →Connect with Chelsea Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drchelseatodd/ Website: https://drchelseatodd.com →Free Resources From Chelsea New Mama Nourishment Bundle https://offers.drchelseatodd.com/newmamanourishment Rage Ritual Bundle https://offers.drchelseatodd.com/ragerituals840453-8564 →Work With Chelsea The Crowning — 1:1 Coaching https://offers.drchelseatodd.com/thecrowning Seasonal online circles + free events: https://drchelseatodd.com/resources →A Note on Maternal Mental Health Anger can sometimes be associated with postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression and other perinatal mental health concerns. S4 Ep #108 - When Calm Feels More Uncomfortable Than Chaos

You say you want less pressure, a quieter mind and more space to actually enjoy your life. But then things finally calm down… and suddenly you’re checking emails, finding things to fix, starting another project, worrying about what you’ve forgotten or feeling strangely restless. In this episode, Stacey explores why peace can sometimes feel more uncomfortable than pressure when you’ve spent years being the capable one. The one who handles things. The one people rely on. The one who is always thinking three steps ahead. Because sometimes we become so familiar with being needed, productive and under pressure that when there’s nothing urgent to solve, we don’t quite know what to do with ourselves. This episode looks at the subtle ways we can create pressure without even realising it — in our work, relationships, businesses and everyday lives — and why slowing down isn’t always as simple as deciding you need more rest. Stacey also leaves you with a handful of questions to help you notice what happens when life gets quiet, including whether you can actually let a good thing be good… without immediately looking for what needs fixing next. If you’re the woman who keeps saying, “I just want my brain to be quiet,” this one might make you notice a few things. Want to connect? S4 Ep #106 - Shadow Work: Meeting The Parts Of Yourself You've Been Avoiding with Jessika Anne

If you’ve heard people talk about shadow work but still aren’t entirely sure what it is, or how it’s actually meant to help you.. this episode is a really beautiful place to start. In this conversation, Stacey is joined by Jessicka Anne to explore shadow work, energetics, emotional integration and the parts of ourselves we often learn to suppress, avoid or judge. Jess shares her own journey into this work, including how losing her husband changed the direction of her life and ultimately led her into deeper healing, energetic work and supporting other women through their own transformations. Together, Stacey and Jess unpack what the “shadow” really is and why it isn’t simply about finding everything that is wrong with you.  Often, our shadow holds the emotions, needs, desires and parts of our personality that we were taught were too much, unsafe or unacceptable. When those parts are pushed down, they don’t simply disappear.  They can show up through people-pleasing, emotional reactions, self-doubt, overthinking, burnout and repeating patterns we don’t fully understand. This is a powerful conversation for anyone who is tired of surface-level advice and wants to understand more of what may be happening underneath their thoughts, behaviours and patterns. S4 Ep #104 - Why More Money Doesn’t Fix the Money Story With Katie Martin

In this episode, I’m joined by Katie Martin, also known as Mrs Martin, the Mindset and Money Mentor. Katie helps women change the way they think, feel and behave with money, not from a place of shame, but from understanding the stories, beliefs and patterns that have been running in the background. In this conversation, we talk about why money is never just about the numbers. It’s about safety. Identity. Worth. Control. Avoidance. Hustling. And the stories we inherited long before we even realised they were shaping our financial decisions. Katie shares her own journey with money, how she created the Mrs Martin identity, and why women can have completely different incomes but still be running the same money story underneath. Whether you’re on Centrelink, in a career, building a business, or earning more than you ever thought possible, the pattern can still look the same. Avoiding the bank account. Feeling guilty for spending. Hustling for more but never feeling safe. Waiting until you “know enough” to start investing. Feeling like money disappears as quickly as it comes in. Or believing that wealth is for other people, but not for you. We also speak about money archetypes, the difference between avoidance and alignment, why discomfort doesn’t always mean something is wrong, and how small daily shifts can start changing the way you relate to money. This episode is for the woman who knows she’s ready to stop ignoring her money, stop making herself wrong for what she doesn’t know, and start building a healthier relationship with wealth, safety and self-trust. Because changing your money story isn’t just about having more money. It’s about becoming the woman who can hold it, grow it, speak about it, and make empowered decisions with it.
