    Wishing You Well Podcast: "The 'Upside-Down' Food Pyramid - What It Means For You".  In this episode of Wishing You Well, we explore the idea of the brand new food pyramid recently released by the Health and Human Services Department.  The Department of Health and Human Services has recently released a new Food Pyramid. Many are calling it "the upside-down" food pyramid because several significant changes have been made. I am here to offer you some guidance to help us make sense of, and easily implement the changes. Here's a SPOILER ALERT...I will NOT be recommending that we all start eating more red meat and drinking more alcohol and full-fat dairy. The big take-away from the new recommendations is this: "eat real food" which simply means consume less ultra-processed foods, reduce your sugar intake, and eat more whole foods.     REBROADCAST - In tribute to the remarkable Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt, we are revisiting this special episode from Season 1 of "Wishing You Well". Originally released two years ago, it marked the joyful moment when Sister Jean threw out the first pitch at an MLB game — at the age of 104! This past Thursday, Sister Jean passed away at the age of 106, just two weeks after officially retiring as the beloved Chaplain of the Loyola-Chicago Men’s Basketball Team. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, purpose and tireless encouragement that touched generations. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend reading her inspiring book: "Wake Up With Purpose! What I’ve Learned in My First Hundred Years" — a beautiful reflection on life, resilience and lifting others up. Thank you, Sister Jean, for the inspiration, joy and wisdom you brought into the world.
