    Small Craft Advisory: Florida Ave Brewing Dead Parrot

    The latest episode of Small Craft Advisory is here, and this time we're cracking open Florida Avenue Brewing’s Dead Parrot, a light lager brewed with sea salt and lime! 🍺🍋‍🟩 This is our second beer from Florida Avenue, and after absolutely loving the first one, expectations were definitely high. So, does Dead Parrot live up to the hype? The crew had plenty to say, with opinions all over the place when it came to the color, aroma, and different flavors coming through. Overall, though, the consensus was pretty positive! Patrick picked up some Modelo vibes, while Todd thought it had more in common with Miller Chill. But where did everyone land on the final scores?     We’re back with another episode of the Wasted Wagons Podcast, and this one takes us all over the map! We kick things off with the FIFA World Cup, sharing our thoughts on the tournament as a whole and discussing Spain emerging victorious. Of course, where there’s FIFA, there’s usually some controversy, so we also dive into the latest scandal surrounding FIFA President Gianni Infantino and his failed plan to sell a portion of the World Cup to private investors. From there, we switch gears to American football and take a look at the latest New Orleans Saints training camp news. There’s some good, there’s some bad, and naturally, we have plenty to say about all of it. Then it’s time for some baseball, as the Dodgers once again made the biggest headlines at the MLB trade deadline, landing two-time Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal from the Twins. That blockbuster move leads us into a much bigger conversation about the reaction from baseball fans to the way the Dodgers operate, whether Major League Baseball needs a salary cap, and the growing possibility of an MLB strike that seems to be looming on the horizon. We step away from sports for a bit as Todd talks about a few TV shows that have caught his attention lately, Patrick confesses to actually watching a recent movie, and Todd brings us home with a discussion about one of his favorite things: rabbit holes.     Small Craft Advisory: Busch Light Apple

    Trendy? Absolutely. Good? Well...we were just as surprised as you might be. On this edition of Small Craft Advisory, the crew cracks open Busch Light Apple, a beer that came with some pretty low expectations. Instead of the train wreck we were preparing for, we found ourselves saying, "You know what...this isn't bad." No one is planning to stock the garage fridge with party packs anytime soon, but as a one-and-done beer, Busch Light Apple delivered a surprisingly enjoyable experience. The fresh apple aroma is immediately noticeable, and that flavor carries through each sip more than we expected. In fact, it drinks much closer to a crisp cider than a traditional lager, making it an easy option for anyone looking for something a little different. Could this be the most pleasantly surprising beer we've reviewed in a while?     The guys are back with another episode full of sports, stories, and plenty of laughs at Patrick's expense. We kick things off with Patrick and Dylan reliving their recent kickball showdown, including Patrick's unforgettable (and expensive) moment on the field that everyone else enjoyed far more than he did.     Small Craft Advisory: Deep Brewing Sublime Keylime

    This week's Small Craft Advisory was a wild one as we went LIVE on TikTok to review Deep Brewing's Sublime Keylime Sour – Berliner Weisse, and let's just say... opinions were anything but unanimous. The big question of the night: How sour is too sour? For Travis, Todd, and Mike, this beer blasted right past that line. Between the... distinct aroma and an intensely tart flavor, this one was a tough sell. On the other hand, Patrick and Russell found plenty to enjoy, proving that every beer's taste is subjective. With scores ranging from surprisingly high to the lowest rating in Small Craft Advisory history, this review is one you won't want to miss.
