Joshua opens up the hour with the latest insane chapter produced by the Trump administration: FBI Director Kash Patel removing bestiality as an automatic disqualifier for bureau applicants. Then, dicussion of the case that's swept the nation in its aftermath: Lindsay Clancy, who recently had a mistrial declared in the case of her murdering her three children and later attempting to end her life due to what her defense deemed as a meltdown brought on by postpartum psychosis. Since the mistrial, multiple jurors have gone on media tours explaining what took place in deliberations -- deliberations that led to a 11-1 jurt deadlock. That has caused a firestorm of discussion on the holdout juror and how juries can often focus more on political statements more than the facts of the case at hand in high-profile trials.

Erik's Cowboys went to war with Kory's Giants to open the season, while Joshua laments an officiating controversy that befell his beloved New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Joshua issues his TRB News Report later in the hour, which included the curious case of Senator Mitch McConnell's health.

    TRB Sports: Erik's recap of Week 1's biggest game: Cowboys/Giants

    The NFL returned in historic fashion this past week, producing the highest scoring Week 1 in NFL history. The penultimate game of the week took place at Metlife Stadium, with the New York Giants hosting the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Despite the Cowboys' recent dominance over the Giants over the past decade, Big Blue turned the tide thanks to a dominant performance in the trenches and efficient performances from Jaxson Dart through the air and Cam Skattebo on the ground. Dallas also shot themselves in the foot throughout the game with poor execution, undisciplined play and untimely turnovers. Erik breaks it all down on this episode of TRB Sports.

Joshua, Kory and Lay discuss "scamming culture" in the air with not only Kawhi Leonard and the LA Clippers getting punished by the NBA due to cap circumvention violations, but also with the most ridiculous romance scam we've seen in some time: Daejon Love and his 18-year-old co-conspirator in swindling dozens of women out of over a million dollars by Love's pretending to be a San Francisco 49ers wide receiver. Call it the "Wide Deceiver" scandal. Also, Joshua couldn't let the opportunity pass to celebrate Jalen "Captain Clutch" Brunson's birthday as a holiday on TRB. And when does summer actually end? Labor Day or the 21st?
