    BLACKSAT - Dissection

Episode Notes In this episode, we dissect and reanimate the Delta Green scenario BLACKSAT, written by Greg Stolze and Shane Ivey, which is part of the Control Group collection. This scenario stands out among other DG operations as a unique one-shot where the PCs are astronauts not familiar with "The Conspiracy™️", however, you can expect some... turbulence at launch without a bit of TLC. Since one of the Reanimators has more than a little experience actually training astronauts, we brainstorm new ideas and advice to help make your next run of the scenario a mission success. Are there any more puns that I can make? PS - this episode has my favorite post-credits blooper, so be sure to stick around past the ending music for that 🍑🪄 Links: You can find the scenario at: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/273935/delta-green-control-group or https://shop.arcdream.com/products/delta-green-control-group Holly's AP of the scenario on our YouTube channel The referenced Roleplaying Public Radio (RPPR) AP of the scenario on their YouTube channel A collage map of the shuttle using official NASA images and some stat blocks for the antagonist on our shared file drive Intro & outro music: "In the Mouth of Madness" by Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio. Impossible Landscapes - Dissection, Pt 5. End of the World of the End

Episode Notes In this episode, we continue our dissection review and reanimation advice for the campaign Impossible Landscapes written by Dennis Detwiller for Delta Green by diving into the fourth chapter End of the World of the End, which covers the finale of this epic campaign. We briefly summarize the chapter, discuss it's strengths and weaknesses as written, and then, since we aren't really fans of how this final chapter is laid out, we then cover an overview of the chapter followed by explanations of how each of us would run this final section based on our own styles and internal philosophies regarding Carcosa and the nature of the King in Yellow. We've listed timestamps with as few spoilers as possible below in case GMs are interested in jumping to specific parts they may be looking for advice on: 2:32 - Beating Heart (key themes) 5:51 - Strengths & Limitations as Written 13:38 - Beginning Deep Dive; Guiding Principles 28:42 - Introducing How We Would Run the Ending 29:06 - How Nathan Would Run It 37:09 - How Alex Would Run it 43:31 - How Holly Would Run it 56:08 - How Lex Would Run it 1:09:45 - The Party 1:17:28 - Closing Thoughts You can find the campaign at: Arc Dream's Store and DrivethruRPG Bud's RPG Review IL Campaign episode for the chapter for a more thorough by-the-book summaries Campaign handouts and resources we can share on our lab's Google Drive .
