Excellent, uplifting information

We all need this - and are capable of so much more growth than we realize
Some helpful angles, but watered down

Too often in the dialogues presented here, there is confusion between what are “political opinions” and what is corrective to our country’s dehumanization of people(s). The consequence, for me, is that the conflicts discussed are diluted and oversimplified.
EDIFYING and INSPIRATIONAL

A BRAVER WAY is yet another Educational, Enlightening and Encouraging tool from BRAVER ANGELS to help us, as Citizens of our United States of America (and our world) to hear one another’s stories; stories that we have not personally lived but that help us to better understand experiences for which we might, otherwise, be totally ignorant. Thank you, Monica (and all your Guests!) for sharing these impactful life stories that help to open our minds and hearts to see one another with new understanding and empathy. 💕 A special “Thank You” for the expanded conversations you often have with you dear friend, April Lawson, of the ‘red’ persuasion. 😊 It’s great to hear the two of you talk through some of your differing perspectives!
What I needed
Aug 29
I’ve been subscribed to this podcast for a while, but have avoided until now to start listening to it because it seemed like such an intellectual labor to contemplate not just the ‘how’ of trying to listen to people who don’t agree with me, but also the ‘why?’ I feel so heavy all the time because of the scary things that are happening in our country and world. I worry every day about what we are going to leave for my child and other children. But it turns out that listening to Monica consistently being able to talk about this and stay positive has had the effective lightening my spirits about this. It’s nice to have found a discussion and a population of people who have hope for the world. And it isn’t blindly just because optimism feels good. This kind of hope is rational and actionable. Thank you so much, Monica :-)
