With life lessons learned from her skating coach, her faith, and the time she spent recovering, she found the courage to step into an entirely new chapter. That chapter led her to design and sell her own fashion collections on live television in eight countries, spending more than 800 hours on air and generating more than $300 million in sales. Then, just when she felt she understood her path, a serious illness forced her to reinvent herself once again - ultimately leading to the creation of Cydney Mar Wellness. Today, Cydney brings decades of experience in product development, supply chain, costing, merchandising, and marketing to Cydney Mar Advisory, a 100% Indigenous-owned consulting practice that helps emerging founders turn physical-product ideas into commercially viable brands and get their products onto shelves. At the heart of Cydney’s journey are three qualities she continues to lean on: curiosity, resilience, and the ability to accept constructive criticism. Her advice to entrepreneurs is simple but powerful: be true to yourself, trust yourself, and never stop being curious.     What would you do if you had “nothing to lose”? For Joe Salemi, it meant betting on himself. At 21, Joe quit his job and turned a summer side gig into a thriving business. What started with garbage bin cleaning has grown into JMOC Services - with 2 trucks, 3 trailers, 8 team members, and a growing list of services. Power washing. Soft washing. Windows. Gutters. Gutter guards. Christmas lights. Snow removal. And he’s built it all while attending the University of Wisconsin - Madison as a full-time student. Being 21 hasn’t always been an advantage. Joe has had to overcome the credibility hurdle that comes with being young. But he’s also leveraged his age to his advantage - especially when it comes to technology. He’s willing to try new platforms, experiment, and move on when something doesn’t work. That mindset has helped him streamline the backend of his business and create efficiencies that allow him to keep growing while balancing college.
