Sex Dolls, Robots and Woman Hating with Caitlin Roper

Trigger warning: Rape, child rape dolls and violence against women are included in the discussion. Writer and Feminist activist Caitlin Roper joins me to talk about her book Sex Dolls, Robots and the AI sex chat industry. Sex dolls are modelled on the bodies and submission of women and allow men unlimited access to a version of a women that doesn't exist. Does this present a threat to women in real life? Is this industry just a kink fringe or another symptom of violence and misogyny  against women and girls.

In this book Malathy details the history of Tamil women's oppressions and how these women broke free from patriarchy and caste when joining the Tamil Tigers.
