About Jelena
JELENA is a first generation Serbian American multi-disciplinary artist, photographer, and mental health advocate also known as “the confetti girl.” What started as a creative project in her Brooklyn apartment has turned into a wellness and photography brand called The Confetti Project. Dedicating her life to mental health advocacy, Jelena aims to bring play back into adulthood as she believes that it's a vital ingredient to wellbeing and survival. At its core, The Confetti Project aims to challenge perfectionism by developing the life skills of embracing the messy and finding joy amidst the chaos. Confetti is used as a tool to drop into the present while holding space for both our pleasure and pain. By creating spaces to allow people to let go, reflect, and express themselves while feeling like a kid again - Jelena has seen the transformative effects of what happens when you reconnect back to yourself and this thing called life.
