160 | Helping Your Kingdom Kids Find Their Rhythm with Dori Stahle

Hey there Grandma, Could something as simple as rhythm help you connect with and support your Kingdom kids differently? As we continue celebrating Grandparents Month, Namma sits down with Dori Stahle, a “rockin’ grandma” of three and the owner of Next Stage Drumming LLC, for a fascinating conversation about drumming, faith, connection, and supporting children and adults with neurodivergent needs. Dori shares how she uses rhythm and hand drumming with clients experiencing autism, ADHD, anxiety, stress, and challenges with focus and emotional regulation. She also introduces simple techniques involving rhythm, breathing, affirmations, prayer, and Scripture that families can explore together. And Grandma, you don't even need a drum to get started! Throughout the conversation, Dori shares practical ideas that can help you think differently about connecting with a child or grandchild who may process, communicate, focus, or respond differently. But this conversation isn't only about drumming. It's also about recognizing that every Kingdom kid is uniquely created by God. Sometimes nurturing them means being willing to learn new ways to reach them, encourage them, and meet them where they are. Dori also shares her own powerful journey. She didn't seriously begin drumming until age 47, and after a serious accident changed her life, she says prayer helped lead her back to something God had already placed in her hands: her drums. Her story leaves us with a powerful reminder: “You don't know what God can do until you say yes.”   Christian Grandma, Here's Your Challenge Think about your own Kingdom kids. Is there a child or grandchild who learns differently, communicates differently, struggles with focus or anxiety, or simply needs another way to connect? Instead of immediately asking, “What's wrong?”, consider asking: “What might help me connect with this child differently?” Listen to Dori's story. Try one of the simple rhythm activities she shares. Most importantly, pray and ask God for wisdom to help you nurture the unique child He has placed in your life. Then share this episode with another Christian grandma, parent, teacher, or caregiver who could benefit from this conversation. Because nurturing Kingdom kids into warriors for Christ doesn't mean expecting every child to be the same. It means learning how to reach the child God actually gave us.   Connect with Dori Stahle Website + Freebie: https://www.nextstagedrumming.com YouTube: https://www.YouTube.com/@NextStageDrumming Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NextStageDrumming Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/@nextstagedori Email: dori@nextstagedrumming.com Dori’s Books Find Your Divine Rhythm | Amazon & Kindle http://amzn.to/1NYTMYP Rise Up & Rock | Amazon & Kindle https://amzn.to/36W7IV8   WNLOW with Namma & Jo, nurturing Kingdom kids into warriors for Christ through prayer, biblical teaching, and legacy building. 158 | Last Call: National Make-A-Will Month

Hey there Grandma, August is almost over—but your legacy doesn't have to wait until next August. In this special episode, Josiah delivers the Last Call for National Make-A-Will Month with an important reminder for Christian families: making a will isn't about expecting something bad to happen. It's about loving your family enough to prepare for what happens when you're no longer able to make the decisions yourself. Throughout August, we've talked about protecting grandchildren, preparing young adults, updating your will, and making sure your family isn't left searching for answers during a difficult time. Now Josiah brings it all together with one simple question: Have you done what you can to prepare the people you love? If you've been saying, "I'll get to it later," consider this your Last Call. Take the next step. Make the appointment. Update the documents. Talk to your family. Get your affairs in order. Because August may be ending, but the legacy you're building continues. In This Episode Why having a will is an act of love and responsibility. Why your will should be reviewed when your family or circumstances change. Why your family shouldn't have to guess what you wanted. The importance of preparing before an emergency happens. Josiah's perspective on why families should take action now. Your Final August Challenge Before National Make-A-Will Month ends, ask yourself: "If something happened to me tomorrow, would my family know what to do?" If the answer is no, don't wait. This is your Last Call. And remember, Christian grandmas, our responsibility isn't only to pray for the next generation. We are called to teach them, prepare them, and intentionally build a legacy that points them to Christ. August may be the month to make a will. But legacy is something we build all year long. 157 | Is It Time to Update Your Will?

Hey there Grandma, When was the last time you looked at your will? I'm not asking whether you have one. I'm asking whether the will you have still reflects your family today. Life changes. Families change. Beneficiaries pass away. New children and grandchildren are born. Marriages happen. Relationships change. Assets change. And sometimes, the people we originally trusted to carry out our wishes are no longer the right people for the job. As we continue National Make-A-Will Month, this episode is your reminder that creating a will isn't necessarily a one-and-done event. Sometimes the legacy plan you created years ago needs to be updated to reflect the family you're living with today. In this episode, Namma shares relatable stories and practical reasons to review your will, especially if a beneficiary has passed away or your family has grown. You'll also hear why planning ahead isn't about expecting the worst - it's about loving your family enough to make your wishes clear. We'll also revisit some important WNLOW episodes from the past:   With love and child-like faith, Namma & Jo   RELATED EPISODES   59 - Legacy: Have You Left a Love Letter for Your Family?   61 - Legacy: Will It Be Done? | FAQs for a 7-Day Will Completion   104 - How to Leave a Godly Legacy Your Grandkids Won’t Forget   105 - How to Protect Your Family’s Inheritance and Avoid Family Disputes   MAKE - A - WILL Resources Click Here CONTACT US: Email - info@wnlowwithNammaNJo.com Stay Connected: ✅ Subscribe to our YouTube Channel → @WnlowWithNammaNJo ✅ Like, Share & Comment to support the journey! ✅ Follow us on Social Media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wnlowwithnammanjo Facebook: https://bit.ly/wnlowcommunity

156 | The Call That Started It All: Six Years of Josiah's Journey

Hey there Grandma, Six years ago, on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, Namma received a phone call that would change the course of her family's story forever. On the other end of that call was a revelation about a little boy who would be called to become a warrior for God. That little boy was Josiah. Today, Josiah is 10 years old, and what began with one unforgettable phone call has grown into a journey of faith, purpose, biblical teaching, and legacy—and eventually became WNLOW with Namma & Jo, a podcast now nearly three years strong. In this special sixth-year anniversary episode, Namma and Josiah celebrate the faithfulness of God and look back at the journey that began when Josiah was just four years old. But this isn't simply a celebration of six years. It's a celebration of what happens when God gives a calling, a family says yes, and a child begins to walk in what God has placed inside of him. You'll hear about the moment that started it all, how Josiah's journey has unfolded, and how God has continued to reveal His purpose along the way. And perhaps most importantly, this episode is a reminder to every Christian grandma: Never underestimate what God can do through a child you've been praying for. Your prayers matter. Your words matter. Your obedience matters. The seeds you're planting today may become the very foundation of a warrior's tomorrow. In This Special Anniversary Episode The story behind the August 12, 2020 phone call. How Josiah's calling as a warrior for God began. What six years of watching God unfold that calling has taught Namma. How Josiah's journey eventually became part of the WNLOW story. Why Christian grandmas should never stop praying, teaching, and believing in what God is doing in their grandchildren. A celebration of God's faithfulness from age four to age ten. As we celebrate this milestone, we aren't just looking back. We're looking forward. Because the God who called Josiah six years ago is still writing his story. And the story isn't over. Christian grandmas, keep praying. Keep teaching. Keep nurturing those Kingdom kids. You may be witnessing the beginning of something God intends to use for generations. Happy six-year calling anniversary, Josiah! The warrior is still becoming. The calling is still unfolding. And God is still faithful.   With love and child-like faith, Namma & Jo   RELATED LINK: Josiah’s Calling - August 12, 2020:  https://youtu.be/UDscGIz9Rhg?si=hkIvUvShiZ5Du6bK   CONTACT US: Email - info@wnlowwithNammaNJo.com Stay Connected: ✅ Subscribe to our YouTube Channel → @WnlowWithNammaNJo ✅ Like, Share & Comment to support the journey! ✅ Follow us on Social Media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wnlowwithnammanjo Facebook: https://bit.ly/wnlowcommunity

155 | Who Will Raise Your Grandchildren If You Can't?

Hey there Grandma, If God called you home today, who would care for the grandchildren you've been entrusted to love? It's not an easy question—but it's one every Christian grandma should prayerfully consider. As we begin National Make-A-Will Month, Namma explores why biblical legacy isn't just about what we leave behind—it's about protecting the people God has placed in our care. Rooted in Proverbs 13:22, this episode reminds us that a godly inheritance is more than financial; it's a legacy of faith, wisdom, stewardship, and intentional preparation. Whether you're raising your grandchildren full-time, helping support them, or simply want to ensure your family's future is secure, this conversation will encourage you to take one practical step toward protecting the next generation. In this episode, you'll discover: Why a will protects people—not just possessions. How biblical faith and wise planning work together. Why guardianship decisions should never be left to chance. The importance of preparing today to protect tomorrow. How Christian grandmas can leave a legacy that points future generations to Christ. Scripture Focus Proverbs 13:22 "A good person leaves an inheritance to their children's children..." This Week's Legacy Challenge Prayerfully consider who would care for your grandchildren if you no longer could. If you don't have a current will or guardianship plan, take one intentional step this week toward putting your wishes in writing. Because trusting God and planning wisely are not opposites—they are both acts of faithful stewardship. As my mother often reminded us, "Don't forget to remember." Don't just remember the legacy you want to leave—prepare it with love, wisdom, and faith. Christian grandmas don't just leave an inheritance. They leave a legacy that nurtures Kingdom kids into warriors for Christ.   With love and child-like faith, Namma & Jo   REFERENCED LINK: Get your WILL done today! 153 | Building a Legacy Without Running on Empty | with Kamia Hayes

Hey there Grandma, Can you build a lasting legacy without first caring for the person God has called you to be? As Legacy Month continues, Namma welcomes Kamia Hayes, Capacity Liberation Specialist™, author of It's Trash Day, and creator of the Capacity as Currency™ framework, for a timely conversation about stewarding the one resource we often overlook - our capacity. Together, they explore the biblical principle of stewardship and why God never intended us to carry every burden. Kamia shares practical wisdom on releasing responsibilities that were never ours to bear, establishing healthy boundaries, and embracing the truth that our capacity isn't something to constantly expand, but it's something to faithfully steward. If you're a grandma, mom, wife, caregiver, or woman who often feels stretched too thin, this episode will encourage you to stop running on empty and begin living with greater purpose, peace, and intention. As we continue our Legacy Month journey, you'll discover that caring for yourself isn't separate from your legacy.  However, it's one of the ways you faithfully protect it. When you're spiritually, emotionally, and physically healthy, you're better equipped to pour into the generations God has entrusted to you.   With love and child-like faith, Namma & Jo   Connect with Kamia Hayes 📖 It's Trash Day – Available at:  itstrashdaybook.com 📖 Free Devotional: Capacity as Currency™ – capacityliberated.com/devotional Follow Kamia Hayes on Facebook & IG     CONTACT US: Email - info@wnlowwithNammaNJo.com Stay Connected: ✅ Subscribe to our YouTube Channel → @WnlowWithNammaNJo ✅ Like, Share & Comment to support the journey! ✅ Follow us on Social Media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wnlowwithnammanjo Facebook: https://bit.ly/wnlowcommunity
