    Father's Day 2026 Chronicles week 3

    Chronicles – Week 3 | What's In Your Heart? This week, we explore Solomon's request for wisdom in 2 Chronicles 1 and discover why God was pleased with what was in his heart. Rather than seeking wealth or power, Solomon asked for Chokmah—the God-given wisdom to lead God's people in alignment with God's heart and purposes. In 2 Chronicles 9, the Queen of Sheba witnesses God's blessing on Solomon's life and responds with praise to God. Her response reminds us that our lives are meant to point others to Christ. We are walking billboards, and the way we steward our time, talents, relationships, and families should reflect His goodness. We also challenge every man to be both a warrior and a worshiper. Like Benaiah, who served in battle and in worship, godly men are called to protect their families, cultivate faith in their homes, and lead others toward Jesus through everyday life.

    Chronicles Series – Week 2: Inquire Again In Week 2 of our Chronicles series, we continue exploring how God invites us to view our history through the lens of His faithfulness rather than our failures. When we remember what God has done, hope is renewed, courage is restored, and faith begins to rise. Looking at 1 Chronicles 14, we discover David's habit of continually inquiring of the Lord. Even after receiving direction once, David didn't rely on yesterday's word for today's battle. When the opposition returned, David sought God again. His example reminds us that a thriving relationship with God is built on daily dependence, not occasional consultation. We also examine David's journey of bringing the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem. After an unsuccessful attempt driven by human methods, David learned the importance of following God's instructions rather than relying on self-made solutions. The lesson is clear: God's presence cannot be approached on our terms but through His way. Finally, in 1 Chronicles 21, we see the danger of trusting our own strength instead of seeking God's wisdom. David's census reveals what happens when we look to our resources rather than to the Lord. Instead of Yahweh, David chose his way—and the consequences followed. This message is a call to cultivate a life led by the Spirit, to seek God daily, and to remember that success in God's Kingdom is never found in self-sufficiency. From Jacob being remembered as Israel—his redeemed identity—to the hidden faithfulness of the Merarites who supported worship behind the scenes, to David’s mighty men who stood with God’s anointed king, every chapter reminds us that God sees, redeems, strengthens, and works through ordinary people. When God declared creation good, He wasn't simply saying it was pleasant—He was recognizing that it was functioning according to His design and purpose. The same is true for us. We are most "good" when our lives are aligned with the intentions of our Creator. Through Scripture, personal stories, and practical examples, this sermon challenges us to lay down our need for control, stop "casting lots" with our own plans and preferences, and trust the Lord to direct our paths. This message challenges the truth that the Holy Spirit is NOT only for “church moments” but He empowers believers in the day to day practical parts of our lives as well.
