He is a 6th generation Iowan and grew up on his family's farm raising sheep, poultry, and growing row crops. As an intelligence officer, Zach served our country for almost two decades in the US Air Force. He serves on the House Financial Services Committee and the House Agriculture Committee in Congress. He is also a prominent member of the congressional executive commission on China.     This episode is full of information and advice for students and young professionals! Starting off, Conor and Amanda sit down and discuss Amanda's time at the University of Iowa. Amanda talks about some of the organizations she was involved in as a student including Dance Marathon and running for student senate. Amanda and Conor take a deep dive into lessons learned as a student in college and what some of those lessons meant going into her professional career.  Amanda discusses what it meant for her to be comfortable being uncomfortable and what it takes to really excel at whatever you want to do in your career. After briefly discussing her time at Target and Wells Fargo we turn to her career as a entrepreneur and how taking that leap changed her life forever.  We take a dive into Amanda's time as host of the She Did It Her Way podcast. Listen as Amanda discusses everything from what it took to be vulnerable enough and confident enough to start the show to lessons learned along the way from digital marketing to online product development.  Other than talking about Amanda's success in the podcast world we also discuss the growth vs. fixed mindset that is so fundamental to entrepreneurship and success in the professional world. Around the 35-minute mark Amanda and I discuss some of the most important parts of what it means to have self-discipline as a college student and young professional.
