  1. How Jesus Cleanses, Restores, and Brings You to Life | Daughter, Your Faith Has Made You Well

How Jesus Cleanses, Restores, and Brings You to Life | Daughter, Your Faith Has Made You Well

There are moments when you feel like the woman in Mark 5. Unclean. Unworthy. Unseen. She had suffered for twelve years. Twelve years of isolation. Twelve years of trying everything and finding no relief. According to the law, she was considered unclean, which meant separation—from people, from community, from normal life. And yet, she did something bold. She reached for Jesus. Quietly. Desperately. Faithfully. She believed that even touching His garment would be enough. And it was. Jesus didn’t rebuke her. He didn’t shame her. He didn’t ignore her. He called her Daughter. In that moment, everything changed. She wasn’t just healed physically. She was restored completely. ..............At the very same time, another daughter was waiting. Jairus’ daughter. Only twelve years old. Her situation seemed worse. She wasn’t just suffering. She was dying. And then came the news every parent fears: She was gone. But Jesus said something powerful: “Do not be afraid; only believe.” And He raised her to life. This is the beauty of Jesus. He meets you in your uncleanness and makes you whole. He meets you in your lifelessness and brings you back to life. Under the old covenant, uncleanness separated people from God. But Jesus fulfilled the law and made a new way. Through Him, we are not just cleaned—we are resurrected into new life. You may feel like the bleeding woman today—ashamed, weary, and desperate. Or you may feel like Jairus’ daughter—lifeless, numb, and without hope. But Jesus responds to faith in both places. He still restores. He still resurrects. And He still calls you Daughter. THREE MAIN TAKEAWAYS 1. Faith doesn’t require perfection—only reaching for Jesus She was unclean. She wasn’t supposed to be there. But faith reaches anyway. Jesus honors faith, not perfection. 2. Jesus stops for the individual He was on His way to save a dying girl. But He stopped for the suffering woman. You are never an inconvenience to Jesus. 3. Jesus doesn’t just cleanse you—He brings you to life He made the unclean woman whole. He raised the dead girl to life. This is the gospel: Not just improvement. Transformation. 2. Anxiety, disappointment and Faith - Mary & Martha

Anxiety, disappointment and Faith - Mary & Martha

This week in our series : Extraordinary women of Faith - When Jesus visited Mary and Martha, one sister was frantic in the kitchen while the other sat quietly at His feet. But that isn’t the whole story. Later, when their brother Lazarus dies, everything changes. Martha shows surprising spiritual maturity — while Mary is devastated and disappointed that Jesus didn’t arrive in time. Together, these two women reveal a powerful truth: faith isn’t about getting it right all the time. It’s about coming honestly to Jesus in every season — whether we’re busy, broken, peaceful, or confused. In this episode, we explore what it means to choose “the better part,” how to handle disappointment with God, and how Jesus meets us personally in our pain. You’ll leave encouraged that whatever you’re carrying today, you are invited to bring it to His feet. Luke 10:38-42 John 11:17-48 John 12:1-3 🌿 3 TAKEAWAYS FOR LISTENERS 1) Choose the better part daily. Before doing for God, sit with God. Presence precedes productivity. 2) Bring your disappointment to Jesus. Faith can exist alongside tears, questions, and confusion — just like Mary. 3) Let correction grow you, not harden you. Like Martha, allow Jesus’ gentle words to shape you into deeper faith. Prayer: Jesus, When I am busy, slow me down. When I am anxious, steady my heart. When I am disappointed, help me bring my tears to You. Teach me to sit before I serve, to trust even when I don’t understand, and to believe that You meet me right where I am. I choose the better part today — Your presence over pressure, Your peace over perfection, Your love over my fear. Amen. Affirmation (optional at bottom): I am loved. I am seen. I am invited to Jesus’ feet. Bonus (scriptures I said I would add for you this week - so write them down!) “Do your best / work with excellence” — in the NLT 1) Colossians 3:23–24 (NLT) — your best for the Lord “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” 2) 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NLT) — for God’s glory “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 3) Proverbs 22:29 (NLT) — skill and excellence honored “Do you see any truly competent workers? They will serve kings rather than ordinary people.” 4) Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NLT) — give it your all “Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom.” 5) Proverbs 16:3 (NLT) — excellence starts with surrender “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” 6) Titus 2:7–8 (NLT) — excellence as witness “And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.

Abigail: Wisdom That Changes the Story

Abigail’s story in 1 Samuel 25 is a reminder that wisdom can be just as powerful as strength. She lived in a difficult household, married to a foolish and harsh man. Yet Abigail refused to let her circumstances define her character. When conflict threatened to turn violent, she chose courage over fear, wisdom over pride, and humility over defensiveness. Instead of reacting emotionally, Abigail acted intentionally. She gathered provisions, approached David with respect, took responsibility for peace, and trusted God with the results. Her wise response didn’t just prevent bloodshed — it earned David’s respect and God’s favor. Abigail shows us something powerful: We don’t need control over every situation — we need control over our response. There will be moments when emotions run high. When others act foolishly. When tension feels unavoidable. In those moments, God invites us to pause, pray, and choose wisdom. You can be a woman of discernment. You can be a peacemaker. You can shift the atmosphere in your home, relationships, and community. Let Abigail remind you that God sees your wisdom — and He honors it. Reflection: Where might God be calling you to slow down, seek His guidance, and respond wisely today? 🌿 Three Key Takeaways Wisdom can change the course of a crisis. The Shunammite Woman – Becoming an Extraordinary Woman of Faith

What does it look like to live with extraordinary faith—especially when life feels uncertain, disappointing, or even devastating? In today’s episode of Girl Read Your Bible, we’re diving into the powerful and often overlooked story of the Shunammite woman found in 2 Kings 4 and 8. She was discerning enough to recognize the man of God, generous without expectation, cautious yet hopeful when faced with the desire of her heart, and unwavering in faith even in the face of death. Her words—“It is well”—weren’t empty positivity. They were anchored faith. And her story doesn’t end with a miracle child restored to life. Years later, her obedience and patience place her before the king at just the right moment—where God restores everything she lost. This episode is for the woman who needs permission to hope again. For the one learning to trust God’s timing. For the one believing that ordinary faith can still lead to extraordinary outcomes. ✨ It’s time to get your hopes up. ✨ It’s time to dream big. ✨ It’s time to believe—it is well. 📖 Key Scripture 2 Kings 4:26 (NKJV) “Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?” And she answered, “It is well.” Prayer: “It Is Well” Lord, Teach me to live with discerning eyes and a generous heart. Help me to make space for You without expectation, to trust You even when my hopes feel fragile. When I face uncertainty or loss, anchor my spirit in faith—not fear. Give me the courage to say, “It is well,” even before I see the miracle. I choose obedience. I choose trust. I choose to believe You are working— even now. Amen. Affirmation ✨ I am becoming an extraordinary woman of faith. ✨ I trust God’s timing and His promises. ✨ Even when I don’t see it yet—I believe. ✨ It is well with my soul.
