The Podcast launched with a look back at Marvel's epic 155 issue series, continuing on through Hama's ARAH IDW run and into present day Skybound. We also did deep dive coverage of the Devil's Due era! Allong the way we have spoken with many writers, artists and other creators behind G.I. Joe.     TJ 394 - G.I, Joe RELOADED 7-9 AUDIO ONLY REVIEW (Devisl due 2024) - TALKING JOE DISAVOWED

    G.I.JOE: RELOADED #7-9 - Devil's Due (2004) In 2004 , while Brandon Jerwa was writing GI Joe A Real American Helo, there was another Ultimate style continuity launched in the pages of G.I. Joe: Reloaded The aim was to bring G.I.Joe story back to its beginnings in a new accessible and modern continuity. 14 Issues with two specials were first published in 2004 by Devil's Due. Previously we’ve covered Cobra Reborn, fand GI Joe reborn, and issues 1-6. And Today we will be covering the final issues of the John Ney Reiber run, issues 7-9. These were the last issues before Chuck Dixon took over for the final issues - #10 -14. There was a Trade paperback “In the Name of Patriotism” collecting issue 1-6 but the remaining issues were not reprinted Previously on Joe Reloaded: A mysterious terrorist Organization Cobra has attacked the USA and stollen a deadly nerve agent named Omega Black, and the GI Joe team has been formed to combat them. In the saudi desert, storm shadow tries to convince snake eyes to join cobra again and captures him. After their 1st mission fighting Cobra in the streets of DC the joes are sent on training ahead of attending a military symposium on Hawaiin island. Cobra attacks the miltary assets on the island and the joe team splits up to tackle the cobra invasion. The Joe team which includes Snake-Eyes, Scarlett, Stalker, Roadblock and Duke are adrift in the ocean on a raft. They have captured the Baroness, who was dreaming of her father in prison. Cobra forces have taken over the Hawaiian island missile base on Kauai, and the President of the United States is trying to determine if he should nuke the island to prevent any missile launches. Hawk has been released from jail, and is weirdly taken by gun point. The President has requested to talk to the Joe team personally about Cobra, and an "old friend" of Hawk's who is holding the gun on him wants him to keep the Joe from talking. The Baroness attacks her guards aand easlitly escapes but then cobra commander asks her to get captured again Major Bludd meets up with Major General Cross at his home. Cross is forced to show his loyalty to Cobra under threat. As the helicopter carrying the Joes lands, General Cross is waiting with armed troops to attack the Joes. The Baroness inside the chopper again easily kills a guard and escapes, Duke is revealed to be the traitor, a Field Marshall in Cobra ranking and leaves with cobra
