Ruthi is an American who began her adult life in the US Navy stationed in Naples, but then she returned to the United States and began her dispatching career at Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Ruthi spent 24 years in Florida as an emergency dispatcher, handling all types of 911 calls. She lets us in on the secret to being a successful dispatcher and shares the reason she finally retired. We also talk all things Italy, like how their emergency response and laws are different. Ruthi shares some of her Zen dispatching in this different environment and wonders how she survived so many years in Jacksonville without good mental health resources.
