    Content Warning: fake memories, bodily infestation, maggots.This is a one-shot, prequel to a series of Alice is Missing & Monsterhearts 2 & taking place in between subsequent series of A Town Called Malice & Bump in the Dark. A group of friends has decided to spend a night in the woods, camping.They gathered around the campfire to talk about their dreams and goals. However, the chatter is interrupted by a noise from the bushes immersed in the darkness behind them.Then, all the friends are gone, and the only one remaining is called by a feeble voice from the woods, asking them to face their fears.You are the Protagonist: the forest has chosen you, calling your name. You must go into the darkness, only equipped with a few items, and face your fears. Marrow briefs the Hand of his Court, while Mr. Suit makes a play for a new responsibility in his. Aldo learns more about the Immortals and Lily tracks down an outsider Sunken who knows more about the murder than he lets on. This is a modern urban fantasy PbtA game inspired by Changeling the Lost, The Magicians, DIE, isekai, and more. Hearts of Yokai is a placeholder title for this forthcoming game.
