Episode 65 - Are You Healed, or Just Surviving? EMDR, Trauma & the Nervous System - with Maria Palacios

Send us Fan Mail Are you healed, or have you simply learned how to survive? In this powerful episode, Mary sits down with psychologist and EMDR specialist Maria Palacios from Chile for an honest conversation about trauma, faith, emotional health, the nervous system, and what it really means to become whole. For many who grew up in the church, being a “good Christian” meant learning how we were supposed to act—even when something very different was happening inside us. We learned to pray, serve, forgive, keep the peace, and keep moving. But what happens when we become skilled at doing all the right things while our emotions and nervous system are still operating in survival mode? Maria unpacks how trauma can affect the way we see ourselves, relate to others, experience vulnerability, and even perceive God. Abuse, violence, unhealthy relationships, and environments where emotions weren’t handled well can leave patterns that don’t simply disappear because we love Jesus. We talk about why “keeping the peace” isn’t the same as making peace, why hard conversations are necessary for healthy relationships, and how constant overthinking can be a sign that your nervous system is still trying to protect you. We also challenge the tendency to over-spiritualize emotional and psychological struggles. We understand the importance of caring for our bodies and developing our spirits but what about the health of our souls? God created us as whole people: Body, Spirit, and Soul. God is still good, and a good Heavenly Father desires a relationship with the whole you, not simply the version of you that learned how to survive. If you’ve ever wondered, “Why do I love God but still feel stuck?”  . . .this conversation is for you. Episode 64 - You're Dream Isn't Dead: How To Write The Vision and Dream With God Again

Send us Fan Mail What if the dream in your heart didn’t actually start with you, but with God? As children, we dream so easily. But somewhere along the way, life gets busy, disappointment hits, fear creeps in, and the ability to dream that once felt possible begins to feel far away. We may not completely stop dreaming or lose the dreams, we simply stop engaging with it. In this episode of ROAR OUT LOUD, we talk about dreaming with God, writing the vision, discovering your God-given purpose, and taking practical steps toward the dreams God has placed in your heart. Habakkuk 2:2 tells us to “write the vision.” There is power in getting the dream out of your head and onto paper. Writing down your vision and goals brings clarity, helps you recognize where God is leading, and gives you something tangible to begin moving toward. You were created in the image of God and you were created to dream with Him. Jeremiah 1:5 reminds us that before you were formed, God knew you. You are not here by accident. You are set apart, created with purpose, and here to take up space and make an impact. But what happens when disappointment causes you to stop dreaming? What happens when God’s timing doesn’t look like yours? This episode is an invitation to reconnect your heart with God, pick the dream back up, write the vision, trust His timing, and start taking the small baby steps in front of you towards your dreams. The dream may feel bigger than you and maybe that’s because you were never meant to carry it alone and you definitely can't accomplish it without Him and people that believe in you.   Dream with God. Write the vision. Take the next steps. 🔥 CONNECT WITH ROAR OUT LOUD 🎙️ Hosted by Mary Street Kingdom Clarity & Strategy Advisor • Author • Speaker • Podcaster 🌐 roaringhope.com 📲 Follow ROAR OUT LOUD on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube & TikTok  📺 Watch All Episodes on YouTube - Channel content - YouTube Studio 🛍️ Shop ROAR OUT LOUD Merch - The Roar Shop - Resources, Courses & Tools | Roaring Hope 📖 Faith to Grow a Tree — Available on Amazon Subscribe • Share • Leave a Review • Keep Roaring 🔥

Episode 63 - RISE UP & BUILD! What Is Your Assignment in This Season? | Nehemiah 1–5

Send us Fan Mail What if the thing breaking your heart is actually pointing you toward your next assignment? In Nehemiah chapters 1–5, we see a man whose calling began with a burden. Nehemiah heard about the condition of Jerusalem, and something began stirring in his heart. But he didn't immediately rush out and try to fix everything. He prayed. He prepared. He served. And when the time came, he boldly asked. Before Nehemiah ever became the leader rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, he was a cupbearer serving King Artaxerxes. God was already preparing him in a season that may not have looked anything like his future assignment. And God may be doing the same thing with you. Don't despise the season you're in. God wastes nothing. Even the painful seasons, the hidden seasons, and the seasons where you feel like you're simply serving can be preparing you for what comes next. A servant's heart can open doors to your future. Nehemiah found favor with the king. He found favor with the people. He gathered the community. He faced opposition. He confronted fear. And then he rose up and built. There comes a point when you cannot build something meaningful and remain passive. You have to rise up. In this episode of ROAR OUT LOUD, we're digging into Nehemiah 1–5 and what his story teaches us about discovering, rising up and stepping into our God-given assignments and leading. Nehemiah didn't wait until everything was perfect. He prayed. He prepared. He asked boldly. He gathered people. And when opposition came, he kept building. So, here's the question: What is YOUR “build the wall” assignment in this season? What has God been stirring in your heart? What burden won't leave you alone? What have you been preparing for without even realizing it? Maybe it's time to stop waiting for perfect conditions. Ask Jesus for the plan. Keep your eyes on Him. Don't let fear decide the outcome. It's time to RISE UP AND BUILD. 🔥 CONNECT WITH ROAR OUT LOUD 🎙️ Hosted by Mary Street Kingdom Clarity & Strategy Advisor • Author • Speaker • Podcaster 🌐 roaringhope.com 📲 Follow ROAR OUT LOUD on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube & TikTok  📺 Watch All Episodes on YouTube - Channel content - YouTube Studio 🛍️ Shop ROAR OUT LOUD Merch - The Roar Shop - Resources, Courses & Tools | Roaring Hope 📖 Faith to Grow a Tree — Available on Amazon Subscribe • Share • Leave a Review • Keep Roaring 🔥

Episode 62 - GOD DIDN’T CALL YOU TO PLAY IT SAFE: Powerful Keys to Kingdom Entrepreneurship - with Regan Vansteenis

Send us Fan Mail What if the thing standing between you and what God has called you to build isn’t a lack of opportunity, but your willingness to step out in faith? In this powerful episode of ROAR OUT LOUD, Mary Street sits down with Regan Vansteenis who is a lawyer, entrepreneur, and Kingdom leader, to talk about Kingdom entrepreneurship, renewing your mind, taking faith-filled risks, building wealth through serving others, and refusing to shrink back from what God has placed on your heart. Hebrews 10:39 says, “We do not belong to those who shrink back…” Yet too often, believers wait for everything to make sense before they move. But the Kingdom doesn’t always operate according to human logic. Sometimes God allows us to become increasingly uncomfortable because it’s time to MOVE. Mary and Regan unpack what it means to partner with God in business, understand your authority in Christ, transform your mindset, and take action on your God-given vision. Faith isn’t passive. At some point, you have to stop waiting, step out, and do the thing. They also discuss a key principle of entrepreneurship: success leaves clues. Learn from people who are succeeding in the area you’re called to, find mentors, and invest in coaching when needed. Growth often requires learning from those who have gone before you. And what about Kingdom wealth? Wealth is built through serving people. When you solve problems, create value, and serve people well, you increase both your income and your impact. Serving people is loving people, and God is love. Regan’s advice to her younger self says it all: DREAM BIG. DON’T BE AFRAID. DON’T GET COMFORTABLE. MOVE If God has called you to build, lead, create, or launch something, don’t let fear, comfort, or logic keep you from moving. God didn’t call you to play it safe. He called you to faith. This conversation is for all  purpose-driven believers whether you're an entrepreneur, Kingdom entrepreneur, business owner, coach, ministry leader, and more. if you are ready to build with God, grow in leadership, create wealth with purpose, and boldly step into their calling. Episode 61 - WHEN RIGHT IS WRONG & WRONG SEEMS RIGHT | Truth, Grace & Compromise in Today's Culture

Send us Fan Mail We are living in an upside-down culture where standing for biblical truth can get you criticized, canceled, or misunderstood.  In this powerful episode, Mary Street asks one of the biggest questions facing Christians today: How do we stand in love without compromising our convictions? As culture continues to redefine truth, this episode examines the tension between truth and culture, grace and holiness, and love and compromise. God isn't simply loving—He is holy. Grace without holiness opens the door to compromise. Holiness without grace produces condemnation. But when grace and holiness walk together, they bring genuine transformation. Whether you're raising children, navigating relationships, leading in ministry, or simply seeking to follow Jesus faithfully, this episode will challenge you to ask: Am I being shaped by God's truth or by the world's approval? If you're ready to stand firm in biblical truth while loving people well, this episode is for you. 🔥 CONNECT WITH ROAR OUT LOUD 🎙️ Hosted by Mary Street Kingdom Clarity & Strategy Advisor • Author • Speaker • Podcaster 🌐 roaringhope.com 📲 Follow ROAR OUT LOUD on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube & TikTok  📺 Watch All Episodes on YouTube - Channel content - YouTube Studio 🛍️ Shop ROAR OUT LOUD Merch - The Roar Shop - Resources, Courses & Tools | Roaring Hope 📖 Faith to Grow a Tree — Available on Amazon Subscribe • Share • Leave a Review • Keep Roaring 🔥

From Baby Boomers to Gen X, Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Alpha, the debate over entitlement has been happening for decades.
