Dookie was my first cd when I was a teenager, and I have been recently re-connecting to their music as an embittered, disillusioned 43-year-old. After Green Day’s Super Bowl performance, I desperately needed someone to process it with, and discovered this podcast. It’s a quality podcast, for sure. Unpretentious, thoughtful, funny, and deep—these guys are committed to the podcast in the same way that Billie, Mike, and Tre are to their music. It’s a good balance of interesting information about Green Day, nostalgia, memories, jokes, and heavy sarcasm. You can tell that they are having a blast, despite sometimes being scattered and redundant. As an added bonus, you get to witness what a good, long-standing friendship looks like. Give it a listen!
