Assurance to the Church: Jesus Has Done Enough to Protect Your Soul

Assurance to the Church: Jesus Has Done Enough to Protect Your Soul “Because God's children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.”— Hebrews 2:14 (NLT) Has Secured Our Souls He conquered the devil at the cross He broke the power of death and stripped Satan of his authority (Hebrews 2:14).The enemy has no legal access to your soul.He prayed for us before going to the cross John 17:1–24 — Jesus interceded for His disciples and all future believers.Your name was included in the prayer of Christ. He continues to intercede for us today “He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.” (Hebrews 7:25)Jesus is still praying for your faith to remain strong! So What Do We Pray For? We don’t pray for victory — we pray for the strength to endure what victory has already secured. When Jesus spoke to Peter in Luke 22:31–32, He wasn’t trying to prevent the test.He was preparing Peter to endure it. Key Truths From Jesus’ Words to Peter: “After you have turned back…” Jesus guaranteed Peter’s return — the test wouldn’t destroy him.Peter went into battle already wearing the victory belt. The only instruction was: hold on until it’s over.He was told the reason for the test: “…strengthen your brothers.”God doesn't test us to punish us — He prepares us to become a pillar for others. We Will All Go Through It — But At Different Times Peter endured his testing alone during Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion. After the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Peter became a pillar of strength to the Church.Private testing often prepares us for public strengthening. Paul endured intense testing — alone.Later, he became a mentor and strength to Timothy and the churches. Encouragement to the Church Today: You may be going through a private sifting, but you are not forsaken. The Savior has already prayed for you.You are not being punished — you are being prepared. Declaration of Endurance: Lord, I thank You that You have done enough. The cross disarmed my enemy. Your prayers are sustaining me. Even when I am weak, You are strong. I choose to endure. And when I come through this, I will strengthen others. My testing is not in vain — it is an assignment. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Your Faith Will Be Tested

In Preparation for the Coming of Jesus, Your Faith Will Be Tested “Peter, my dear friend, listen to what I’m about to tell you. Satan has obtained permission to come and sift you all like wheat and test your faith. But I have prayed for you, Peter, that you would stay faithful to me no matter what comes. Remember this: after you have turned back to me and have been restored, make it your life mission to strengthen the faith of your brothers.”— Luke 22:31–32 TPT 1. Jesus Warns His Friends Jesus calls Peter “my dear friend” — an intimate term showing how much He treasures those truly joined to Him.This wasn’t just a word for Peter; it was a warning to all believers who walk closely with Christ. The closer you are to Jesus, the more your faith will be tested — but also, the more He intercedes for you. 2. Jesus's Friends Are Joined by Spirit, Not Just Proximity Peter was the only one who received revelation from heaven before the resurrection (“flesh and blood did not reveal this to you” — Matt. 16:17).After Pentecost, every believer filled with the Holy Spirit enters this level of intimacy. It’s not enough to walk with Jesus physically — we must be joined to Him spiritually. 3. Faith Will Be Tested Through Sifting Jesus said, “Satan has obtained permission…” — echoing Job 1:12.Satan is not acting outside of God’s knowledge. There is purpose in the pain. 4. Why God allows it: To sift the church – to separate what is real from what is superficialTo test our faith – to purify it like gold in fire (1 Peter 1:7)Sifting is not meant to destroy you — it’s meant to prove you. 5. Satan Has Limits — Your Soul Is Off-Limits Just like with Job, Satan may access your: FinancesRelationshipsHealthReputation But he cannot touch your soul unless you surrender it. Job’s wife said: “Curse God and die.” But Job refused. His soul remained anchored in God. 6. You Might Lose What’s Dear — But Don’t Lose Your Soul You may lose what’s valuable, but don’t lose what’s eternal.Don’t give the devil access to your soul through bitterness, unbelief, or disobedience.“What will it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul?” — Mark 8:36 7. After You Are Restored, Strengthen Others Jesus said: “When you turn back to me and have been restored, strengthen your brothers.” Your testimony becomes your tool.Your pain becomes your power.Your fall becomes a future foundation for others.Don’t waste the test — it’s equipping you to lead others. Declaration Lord, I understand that in preparation for Your return, my faith will be tested. But I will not surrender my soul. Though I may lose things, relationships, and comforts, I will remain anchored in You. Strengthen me like Peter. And when I am restored, I will strengthen others. I will pass the test. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Healing and Mourning Is a Personal Process

Healing and Mourning Is a Personal Process — Not About the Other Person Luke 18:10–14 (TPT)“Two men went to the temple to pray… The proud leader compared himself to others, but the broken tax collector cried out for mercy... It was the humble one who went home right with God.” Key Thought: Healing, repentance, and restoration are deeply personal. They must be between you and God, not measured by how others are doing — or what they’ve done. 1. It Must Be Between You and God The tax collector stood alone… covering his face… sobbing with brokenness. This was not about the Pharisee. He wasn’t performing. He was truly seeking.Healing is not performative — it’s personal.Restoration requires raw honesty before God. 2. Sincerity Is Key God does not honor outward display, but the posture of the heart. The tax collector “sobbed with brokenness and tears.”There was no comparison, just confession.True healing starts where pretense ends. 3. Don’t Let It Become About the Next Person The Pharisee made his entire prayer about how he was better than others.Healing and growth stall when we focus on people, not God.Comparison kills transformation.Your walk is not measured by another’s weakness, but by your own surrender. 4. The Devil Fears a Truly Healed Believer He knows the strength, clarity, and authority you gain when you fully surrender to the healing process. Examples: David – Even after his failures, he remained a man after God’s heart and served his generation faithfully.Peter – Though he denied Jesus, his restoration made him the pillar of the early Church. The blind man – After his encounter with Jesus, he gained spiritual vision and boldness.Brokenness before God births boldness before men. 5. The Enemy Will Try to Distract You From the Process He knows that if he can disrupt the process, he can delay your purpose. Biblical Distractions: Naaman – Almost missed his healing due to pride and expectations. The Pharisee – Distracted by judgment of others. The Jews – Missed Jesus due to prejudice and pride.Saul – Failed to heal, because he was obsessed with people’s opinion (1 Sam. 15:24).Distraction is the devil’s tool to derail your development. So What Do We Do? Retreat into honest, humble spaces before God.Block out comparison, pride, and judgment.Let the Word and the Spirit search and heal you (Psalm 139:23–24). Declaration Lord, this is between me and You. I bring my pain, pride, and brokenness. I’m not here to impress or compare — I’m here to be healed. Remove every distraction. Purge what must go. I receive Your healing. I will come out stronger, cleaner, and more fruitful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
