    S03 E52: How to Get More Done Without More Time

    Welcome back, Wave Makers, let’s get more done today! In this week’s episode, Patricia and Jamie refer back to last week’s episode on the Real Life Pocket Map and the value of choosing three daily action steps that will continuously move the needle forward toward your goals. Today, we go deeper, talking about implementation and different time management methods that allow you to get the actions done efficiently. From power hours, set aside to get a solid uninterrupted 60 minutes of focused work accomplished, to power bursts of 10-20 minute windows of time to chip away one task at a time, there is a method that will work for you - it’s just a matter of determining what fits your flow and lifestyle! Jamie is in a season with teens and speaks to how she implements power hours to get her three daily tasks knocked out in one fell swoop, and then adding additional action steps if time allows. Patricia is in the thick of toddler life and approaching her homeschool mama era, and she has found success in a hybrid combination of power bursts (those 10-20 minute sprints sporadically throughout the day) and CEO dates where she sets a concentrated 2-3 hour block of time aside 2 times a month to really hone in on bigger actions.     Have you ever used an atlas? In our opening side quest, we talk about atlases, getting lost with no cell service, and then tie it all back in with having a distraction-free map to daily habit that will help you to achieve your dream goals. Whether you’re goal is to stay connected and aware of incoming communications, so you set a daily action of clearing out emails in your inbox, or your goal is to improve your physicality so that you can be a stronger dancer and instructor for your students, there is a pocket map for you! The Real Life Pocket Map is a collaborative tool created by Jamie and Patricia to help you to look at what you can do that moves the needle forward each week, stretches you just a little bit, and ultimately helps you to meet your next goal. This can be applied to life, business, and beyond. The premise is, choose three habits that you will commit to 5 days a week.
