Inclusive Stories: For parents raising autistic, ADHD - neurodivergent children

Inclusive Stories

Welcome to Inclusive Stories, a podcast created for parents raising Autistic, ADHD, and all neurodivergent children, especially those navigating this journey as Black and ethnic minority families. My name is Brooklyn, a proud mum, disability advocate, author, and tea-loving Londoner raising two beautiful boys on the autism spectrum. This podcast was born out of my lived experience, fighting for support, battling cultural stigma, and learning to advocate fiercely for my sons in systems that weren’t built with them in mind. I know what it feels like to be dismissed, overlooked, or called “too much” just for asking for what your child needs. That’s why Inclusive Stories exists: To give our stories space. To make sure no parent feels like they are walking this road alone. In each episode, I open up about the real-life challenges and joys of raising neurodivergent children, and I sit down with other parents, educators, experts, and advocates to share tools, insights, and truths that are often left out of the conversation. We talk about EHCPs. We talk about meltdowns. We talk about identity, intersectionality, and love. And yes—we talk about the messy, funny, powerful in-between moments too. 🌙 Inclusive Stories After Dark For the quiet moments. The tired hearts. The joy you almost forgot was yours. Inclusive Stories After Dark is our softer side, designed to soothe, uplift, and honour SEND parents. These 10–20 minute evening episodes are where I talk to you, I share calming stories, affirmations, real-life giggles, and our signature “Ask Brooklyn” segment (which gets a little cheeky sometimes, because we need that too). It’s not about fixing anything. It’s about resting, breathing, and remembering yourself again. Because you, friend, are holding so much. And you deserve a space where someone holds you, too.
