Ep 31 | The Art of Giving Fewer F***s

This episode is a spontaneous Saturday morning heart-to-heart from my balcony, recorded in silk pajamas with no script, no schedule, and no perfectly organized point to make. Which, honestly, feels very true to where I am right now. Three years and 31 episodes into Stay True to You, I’ve been reflecting on how much this podcast—and I—have evolved. When I first launched it, I thought consistency meant forcing myself to release an episode every week. I placed so much pressure on myself to perform, produce, and prove that I was taking it seriously. But pressure doesn’t always support creativity. These days, I’m learning to respect my natural rhythm, my neurodivergent brain, and the free-spirited way my creativity actually wants to move. In this episode, I share a story from my college years about attending my first Baha’i Faith circle in Philadelphia. I was barely out of high school, feeling lost, insecure, and unsure of who I was becoming. During that gathering, I met a woman named Katinka who told me something I would carry for more than a decade: Your thirties can be a time when you finally become more comfortable in your skin. At 35, I understand what she meant. This conversation is about letting yourself evolve, giving fewer f***s about how you’re perceived, and releasing the expectation that your life or creativity needs to follow someone else’s timeline. It’s about treating people according to who they are on the inside—not their job title, age, background, status, or accomplishments. And it’s about trusting that sometimes a person you meet only once can leave you with exactly the wisdom you need for the next chapter of your life. 🧚🏽 What Stay True to You means to me three years after launching the podcast 🧚🏽 Releasing unrealistic expectations around consistency and productivity 🧚🏽 Why pressure doesn’t always serve my creative process 🧚🏽 Respecting my neurodivergent brain and spontaneous speaking style 🧚🏽 Growing up Hindu while developing a more personal relationship with spirituality 🧚🏽 Attending my first Baha’i Faith circle as a college freshman 🧚🏽 The stranger whose words stayed with me for more than a decade 🧚🏽 Why your thirties can bring more confidence and comfort in your own skin 🧚🏽 Connecting with people across different ages, backgrounds, and social statuses 🧚🏽 Choosing character and integrity over appearances and credentials 🧚🏽 Giving fewer f***s and becoming more unapologetically yourself 🧚🏽 Showing up imperfectly, spontaneously, and honestly 🎨 You do not have to become more polished to become more powerful. 🎨 You are allowed to be spontaneous. 🎨 You are allowed to change your mind. 🎨 You are allowed to go on tangents, show up in your pajamas, make a mess, and create in a way that honors how your brain and spirit naturally move. It is possible to become more comfortable in your skin. And sometimes staying true to yourself looks like releasing the pressure to perform and simply allowing yourself to show up as you are. Where are you placing unnecessary pressure on yourself to be more consistent, polished, or put together than you actually need to be? Take a breath. Loosen your grip. Come back to yourself. Stay true to you. ⚡️

Ep 30 | Closing the Chapter I Never Finished | Returning to Tulum Five Years Later

This episode is less of a podcast and more of a heart-to-heart. No outline. No strategy. Just me sitting on my bed with my phone flashlight for lighting, processing one of the most transformative seasons of my life. A spontaneous trip to Holistika in Tulum unexpectedly became a pilgrimage back to a place that once held one of the hardest memories of my life. Five years after experiencing a manic episode on my honeymoon and being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I returned—not to relive the past, but to reclaim it. In this conversation, I share what happened when I finally went back. We talk about healing beyond therapy, reconnecting with yoga, receiving Reiki and energy healing in the middle of the jungle, the friendships that reminded me what soul connection feels like, and what it means to be in the middle of an identity shift. I also open up about something I've rarely spoken publicly about: the intuitive experiences I've had throughout my life, the dreams I experienced before my dad passed away, and why I'm beginning to explore my relationship with intuition, spirituality, and the possibility of psychic gifts. This is an episode about remembrance. About trusting yourself. About returning to places that once broke your heart—and discovering they've become sacred. In this episode, we explore: Why I felt called back to Tulum five years after one of the hardest chapters of my lifeHealing beyond traditional therapy through yoga, Reiki, energy work, and natureWhat Holistika taught me about slowing down, presence, and belongingThe unexpected friendships that reminded me what soul family feels likeNavigating a season of profound identity shifts and letting old versions of yourself goLiving with bipolar disorder and reflecting on how far healing can take usMy personal experiences with intuition, dreams, and spiritual awakeningWhat I'm learning from Heal the Witch WoundWhy I believe the world needs more creativity, compassion, and spiritual connection Mentioned in this episode Holistika, TulumReiki & sound healingYoga as a healing practiceHeal the Witch WoundGabby BernsteinPast life regressionBipolar disorder recovery A reflection to sit with What part of your life is asking to be revisited—not so you can relive the pain, but so you can reclaim your power? If this conversation resonated with you, I'd love to hear what landed. Share the episode with someone who's navigating their own season of becoming, or tag me on Instagram with your biggest takeaway. Until next time ~ Stay true to you. ⚡️
