    We brought back one of our favorite guests, Karen (@karneasadaa on TikTok) to talk about one of her favorite movies, Bottoms! Starring Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri. Don’t know Karen? Get with the program! Karen is a bisexual Mexican American who grew a following online talking about colorism, racism, and social injustices. She is a native Chicagoan with a variety of interests. She has the knives out for all forms of patriarchal white supremacy perverts. Karen is an all round champion for the marginalized.  Karen and Marcy talk about why Bottoms rocks. AP talks about why the movie didn’t hit as hard for him on rewatch. Karen expounds on how the movie especially hits for queer women. Marcy makes fun of AP for being a man. If you’re not in the know, Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance are the two self-proclaimed Faces of the League. That league? The WNBA. That’s right, we’re not done talking about women’s basketball! But this time we’re talking about a COMEDIC duo that spawned from the WNBA. Syd and TP created and starred in a TV show in 2023, The Syd & TP Show.     Cronenberg's Crash

    David Cronenberg is the king of body horror movies. So the Doves are diving into his 1996 film Crash starring James Spader, Holly Hunter, Elias Kotas and Deborah Kara Unger! A movie about weirdos getting horny for car crashes. AP celebrates Crash’s depiction of everyone getting queer with it. Marcy defends women who want their husbands to be gayer.     Schimberg's A Different Man

    New miniseries alert! The Doves are kicking off the Corpulence miniseries by covering the 2024 movie A Different Man, starring Sebastian Stan, Renate Reinsve and Adam Pearson. Stan plays Edward, an actor with neurofibromatosis who undergoes an experimental procedure to change his face. But does it fix his life? AP gets vulnerable and talks about a big change he went through in his life, and whether true happiness comes from within. Marcy talks about how coming to terms with being trans came from a desire to be happy. The Doves come out as Pro Fat and rail against the ever-present and also rising fatphobia tendency in America.
