    Urban Legends

Hi! If you're new around here, welcome! This is the Mic'd Up Millennials Podcast (formerly Pursuit of Alignment Podcast) and we are your hosts, Kelsi and Emmy! On this podcast, we like to chat and catch up with one another before diving into a topic of the day. This week, we are discussing what we did for Mothers Day (since we are both mamas) and then jumping into creepy urban legends. Listen along as Emmy covers Black eyed children and the Rake while Kelsi dives into Shadow people and the Kushtakas of Alaska.  Links mentioned in today's episode are: Black Eyed Children documentary by PBS: https://www.pbs.org/video/dont-let-them-in-the-urban-legends-of-black-eyed-children-oht8de/ The Hat Man Project blog: https://thehatmanproject.com/ Picture of the Rake: https://search.app.goo.gl/DFRdpQX History Channel's episode on the Kushtaka (Missing in Alaska series): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQy0hZmYDEQ&t=357s Alaska Missing Persons stats mentioned: - There are currently 738,000 people living in Alaska (stats from ep. produced in 2019) - In the past 20 years, more than 60,000 have been reported missing.  ....So, Kelsi was off when she relayed these stats (VERY off, lol) but she did disclaim they were probably incorrect so there's that. Happy to share the ACTUAL stats here! What are your favorite Urban Legends? Have any you think we may not have heard about? We want to hear them!
