    Meditation: Working with Difficult Clients

The fastest way to say the wrong thing in real estate is to answer a tense call while your body is still in fight-or-flight. So we made something different: a simple guided meditation created specifically for real estate agents navigating difficult buyers, stressed sellers, or friction with another agent. We skip the usual talk and go straight into a 10 to 12 minute mindfulness practice you can do from a chair, couch, or parked car (not while driving). First, we help you settle your body and tune in to your breath. Then we bring the tough situation to mind and notice what it does to you physically: tight chest, clenched jaw, racing thoughts, or that gripping feeling that makes every message feel urgent. From there, we widen the lens. We explore what might be behind the other person’s behavior, not to justify it, but to add perspective. We also practice detaching from the outcome so your peace is not held hostage by whether the deal closes. To finish, we recall a client who was a joy to work with and return to the present with a clear question: if you had to pick up the phone now, how would you respond differently? If you want practical stress relief for realtors, stronger boundaries, and calmer communication in high emotion transactions, press play, subscribe, and share this with an agent who needs a reset. Then leave a review and tell us what shifted for you. Why I’m Skipping AI Drips And Choosing Real Conversations

Pressure to reinvent yourself every January is loud, but it isn’t always useful. I’m choosing a calmer approach this year: fewer gimmicks, more conversations, and a focus on the basics that actually move the needle for real estate clients. If you’ve ever felt drained by lead gen trends, AI drip campaigns, or the constant push to be everywhere online, this conversation will feel like a deep breath. I walk through the offerings that keep our community grounded—free Thursday meditations at noon CT, a gentle Mindful Monday text, and a twice-monthly newsletter—and then shift into the heart of the episode: defining what to stop doing and what to amplify. We talk candidly about vetting for reasonable, aligned clients, skipping impersonal mass emails, and resisting the urge to buy into every new tool. You’ll hear how small, curated gatherings create more trust than another algorithmic blast, and why a simple CRM used well beats a complex stack that steals your time. We also explore a balanced take on AI. I use it where it helps, but I don’t let it replace my judgment or my voice. Real estate remains a human business—people still need to walk a block at sunset, feel a home, and talk through tradeoffs with someone they trust. You’ll get practical ways to audit your business spokes (SOI, open houses, farming, referrals, selective online leads), reduce friction, and commit to a 3–6 month plan before you evaluate results. Markets change; relationships endure. The path to a sustainable, “rested and rich” practice starts with clarity, boundaries, and doing more of what works for you. If this resonates, subscribe, share the episode with a colleague who needs it, and leave a review so others can find the show. Your support helps us keep building a healthier, more human real estate business together. How to Sling Houses When the World is on Fire

In this episode, I grappled with a question that's been weighing on me for months: how do I continue doing my job as a real estate agent when the world feels chaotic and making social media posts about listings seems tone-deaf?  After sitting with these difficult questions, I've realized that what I can control is showing up with kindness and compassion for my clients - not just as "Sumina Realtor" but as a human being. People appreciate this humanness, especially during emotionally charged times like buying or selling a home.  Real estate transactions often happen during life's big moments - marriages, divorces, deaths, job losses, relocations. There's no replacement for simply caring and being present rather than maintaining "positive vibes only."  I encourage fellow agents to acknowledge that we're living in complicated times, recognize that we have specific skillsets that can really help people, and find ways to give back - whether mentoring other agents or contributing to causes that matter to us. When the world feels chaotic, our ability to show up with groundedness and compassion for clients making major life transitions is exactly why this work matters.
