10 Things I Wish I Knew Before My Cancer Diagnosis | 5 Years Late

Five years ago, I heard the words that changed my life: “You have cancer.” At the time, I thought healing was simply about treating what was happening in my body. But the last five years have taught me that wellness goes so much deeper. In this very personal solo episode of The Search for Wellness, I share the 10 things I wish I had known before my cancer diagnosis — the lessons that have completely changed the way I live, heal and take care of myself. We talk about stress, sleep, gut health, community, nature, boundaries, breathwork, movement, food and supplements — and perhaps the biggest lesson of all: learning to truly listen to my body. This isn't about saying there is one right way to navigate cancer. It's about sharing what my own journey taught me and the things I wish I had understood much earlier. Five years later, I can look back and see that some of the hardest moments of my life also became some of my greatest teachers. My journey has taken me from fear to faith — one breath, one choice and one day at a time. If even one of these lessons makes you pause, question something, or take better care of yourself today, then sharing this episode was worth it. 🤍 If this episode resonates with you, please LIKE, SHARE & SUBSCRIBE. She started making soap in her SQ… today it's an international brand.

Every successful business has a story, but very few people get to hear what really happens behind the scenes. In this episode of The Search for Wellness, I sit down with the incredible sisters behind Grounded Africa to uncover the journey from Megan making handmade soap in her SQ to building one of Kenya's leading non-toxic brands with customers around the world. This isn't just a conversation about cleaning products—it's about purpose, perseverance and building a business that stays true to its values. Together we explore:
• How Grounded Africa was born.
• The reality of growing from a small women-led business into an international brand.
• The good, the bad, the ugly and the lessons learned along the way.
• Why non-toxic products matter for your health and your home.
• The importance of taking risks, staying authentic and never giving up. One of my favourite parts of this episode is the energy between us. It honestly feels like friends sitting around the table having a real conversation—full of laughter, honesty and plenty of inspiring moments. If you've ever dreamed of starting your own business, want to make healthier choices at home, or simply love hearing authentic entrepreneurial stories, this episode is for you. 👇 We'd love to hear from you!

The Healing Power of Sound — A Gift From My Heart to Yours

This is an episode I have been so deeply excited to share with you.Sound healing — especially gong baths — holds such a special place in my heart because it is not something I discovered professionally… it is something I discovered through my own healing journey first. The magic of sound, vibration, and frequency has the power to gently bring the body back into balance and harmony in a way that feels effortless, safe, and profoundly nourishing. For me, it has been one of the most powerful and accessible tools for nervous system regulation, emotional release, and energetic alignment. What started as my personal healing experience has now blossomed into something so beautiful — our monthly gong baths at the studio. Each month we come together as a collective, sharing energy, setting intentions, letting go of identities, expectations, and stress… and simply allowing ourselves to receive. These gatherings have truly become one of my favourite offerings — a space where healing, connection, and presence naturally unfold. In this episode, my intention is to give you a small glimpse into the world of sound healing — what it is, why it works, and why it means so much to me.I am by no means claiming to be an expert in this field. This is simply my offering… my gift… and my way of saying thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and walking this journey with me through four beautiful seasons of The Search for Wellness. And because gratitude should always be shared…I wanted to end this season with the most meaningful gift I could give you — a recorded gong bath session from my studio. So I invite you to:Find a quiet spaceLie down comfortablyClose your eyesAnd allow the frequencies to do what they are meant to doReceive. Release. Restore. If this episode touches you in any way, please do me one small favour — subscribe to the channel. It truly helps support this platform and reminds me that this work is reaching the people who need it.Thank you for being here. Surviving the Unthinkable: Trauma, Resilience & Healing

This episode deeply moved me.I walked into this conversation curious… and walked away shaken, humbled, and profoundly changed.Listening to Paul Boyle share the realities of the pain, trauma, and suffering he has witnessed over decades of work in war zones and conflict-affected regions was overwhelming. The stories of human suffering, loss, and survival left me both heartbroken and silent at times. We speak openly about PTSD and CPTSD — what they really look like, how deeply they live in the body and nervous system, and why so many people carry invisible wounds without ever being truly seen or supported. What struck me most was this truth:👉 If our leaders are not healed, our nations cannot heal.Trauma doesn’t just live in individuals — it lives in systems, governments, families, and generations. Healing must begin at the top, ripple outward, and reach the collective.Paul’s work through Alban Institute is not just therapy — it is a mission of restoration, dignity, and hope. This conversation reminded me how urgent it is to address trauma with compassion, depth, and courage , if we truly want change in our world. 🎧 Please listen with an open heart.🤍 Like, share, and subscribe to help this message reach those who need it most.
