    #128 Graves, Malort & Bad Decisions

    Jason and John are back in their job trailers for Episode #128 of I Shower After Work. The episode starts with Jason explaining how a quiet fishing morning on the Mississippi got ruined by a well-meaning trash picker who turned a peaceful riverbank into a global-warming lecture. From there, the guys roll into Minnesota drought conditions, Otter Tail County getting hammered with heavy rain, and a quick shoutout to Cape Breton after major rainfall washed out roads and made life harder for folks back home. Then the weird news kicks in hard. John brings up a grave-digging competition in Hungary, complete with two-man teams, hand-dug graves, strict measurements, dry cemetery soil, and a cash prize that probably doesn’t feel big enough once you’re five feet deep with a shovel.     #127 Old AF But Still Kicking

    Jason and John are back for Episode #127 of I Shower After Work, and this week they’re talking about getting old or at least realizing your body has been aging even if your brain still thinks you’re somewhere around 38. The episode kicks off with John’s birthday recap, peach cobbler tragedy, dairy-free ice cream, Midwest weather, Jason’s trip to Jimmy’s land and cabin, and a quick follow-up from last week’s Star Trek warp speed question. Jason’s brother comes through with the nerd answer: fuel, antimatter, deuterium, and dilithium crystals. Exactly the kind of answer Jason asked for, even if John still calls it Star Trek nerd stuff. Then the guys get into the main topic: aging. Jason is turning 48, John just turned 45, and both of them agree their brains feel younger than their bodies. They talk about when your mental age seems to stop, why 50 used to feel ancient, how old injuries come back to collect payment, and why doing dumb kid stuff before smartphones might be one of the greatest blessings of their generation.     #125 Put Your Shoes On, Society

    Jason and John are back after a couple weeks away, and Episode #125 of I Shower After Work starts with a weekend full of pucker factor. John gets run off the road on his motorcycle and somehow keeps it upright in the ditch. Around the same weekend, Jason discovers his rear tire is coming apart, then blows it out on the freeway at 55 mph before getting help from Great River Harley-Davidson in Onalaska. The lesson: check your tires, belts, bikes, side-by-sides, and anything else that sits too long between rides. From there, Jason gets into the main topic: the world is getting weird, and some crazy behavior is becoming way too normal.     #121 The Race to the Bottom

    The episode starts with John’s towel bar falling off the wall, some homeownership frustration, and the usual ISAW banter. Then Jason explains what sparked the topic, overhearing people on a service call talking about communism as “the real solution” to the current economy and social climate. That kicks off a blunt conversation about communism, socialism, class struggle, history, personal responsibility, and why some ideas sound better on paper than they do in real life. Jason and John talk through the basic history of communism, Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, The Communist Manifesto, the Soviet Union, China, Vietnam, Laos, Cuba, North Korea, class division, collective ownership, state control, and the idea of a classless society. They also break down the difference between socialism and communism in simple terms, with socialism framed as a stepping stone and communism as the end goal of a stateless, classless, moneyless system. From there, the guys get into the big problems: Who makes the decisions? Who decides who becomes a doctor, engineer, electrician, or laborer? Why would someone take on harder or more dangerous work if everyone receives the same result? What happens when government power keeps expanding? And what are people actually willing to give up to make a communist system work? The guys also talk wealth inequality, billionaires, tax loopholes, charities, social safety nets, welfare, propaganda, bot farms, media manipulation, Yuri Bezmenov, North Korea, Cuba, and why people should research the history before repeating political slogans they heard online. This is not a political science lecture. It is two electricians having a blunt, blue-collar conversation about work, fairness, freedom, responsibility, and why the “race to the bottom” is a dangerous deal.
